"Let them discover the infested town for themselves.  Then they'll take the threat seriously."

Check if there are any injured people with us.  If so, reduce their sense of pain to 10% to help them endure their injuries.  If not, watch the professor closely as he uses his MacGyver building ability.  Try to imagine myself using that ability, with the intent to understand which senses that ability requires.  Then try amplifying those senses of the professor to 150% in order to assist him.

Jon Goldbloom action:
Keep an eye out for threats.  Electrify any monsters I see.

((I would like to point out that sense of touch and sense of pain are very different senses. I assume vision and kinesthetic senses are used. Perhaps a magic sense of some kind. Witness the professor crying.))

((I would like to point out that sense of touch and sense of pain are very different senses.))

((That's true.  Back when I made my character, I specified that he could only modify the 5 primary senses, those identified by Aristotle.  I figured that, under Aristotle's model, the sense of pain would be included in the "Touch" category.  However, I suppose I could instead try being more specific, and try to reduce the sense of pain directly.  I'll edit my post accordingly.))

((The sense of touch is actually four different senses if I recall correctly - pressure, temperature, pain and proprioception. Possibly other ones as well, depending on how you feel like partitioning it.))

"This is the wrongest I've seen anything go in my life," PFC Fridge notes with a sage look in his eyes.

Is the horde visibly following us?

All:
I should clarify on the status of the group overall. Along with you all, there are about a dozen vehicles of varying sizes that the villages loaded up into and followed you with. Something around 60 people with you. Your group just gunned it away from the village with your vehicles, taking as many people as you could with you. The horde is not visible or audible from where you are, you have put some distance between yourselves and it. You have no clue what happened to the villagers who had to walk, but there is a good chance that they are all dead.

Those who joined with the group managed to get out mostly unscathed, with only a few majorly injured. For the sake of simplicity, let's just assume that you can affect pain as well.

You watch the professor as he builds, trying to gauge which senses he uses more extensively, and trying detect any echos of his powers. There is something until now unfamiliar to you that you sense, something that is not present in those who do not have the powers you all do. You try to enhance his powers how you do normal senses. It's effects are minimal, but you think that with more practice you might be able to improve that ability.

"I am not sure if we should answer that transmission or not. We could send a message stating that the town is destroyed, but that might reveal our location."

Find closest source of free water, drive near it and start pumping more water fuel. I want those tanks full.
How are villagers? Got any on board? Especially that woman from bar/restaurant?

Integrate another weapon or two into MWP so it will have two independently moving barrels. While crying for my dear physics being bended over. Look parts for building powered exoskeleton.

You run a pipe from a nearby water source to the electrolysis machine, and turn it on, the tanks slowly being filled with fuel.

You stick another barrel on the MWP. You find some scrap metal that could be hammered out for a few pieces, but otherwise can't find much here.
______________________________________________________________________________________________

wait until one of the boats reachs land with few people on them. Shoot them.

You and a few men wait by the shore at night time, waiting for a patrol to stop for the night and dock on the shore. They come into the dock, tieing their boat off. They don't even see what's coming, you all fire round after round at them. Killing them all before they can react. A few of the uniforms have holes, might want to patch those up.

Can't do much then. Wait until tanks are full or it is our best interest to start moving. In meanwhile inspect the truck. Can I do something to improve mileage? Or keep fuel effiency and make thrusters also work as big ass flamethrowers? Perhaps install a port to connect MWP into it so it can use the truck itself as a weapon/extension of its body? If anything needs repairing, that's what I will do.

Climb a tree and and amplify my sight by 500%.  Then look back the way we came and check if any monsters are close by.  Also keep an eye out for any spaceships or flying vehicles sent by The Federation.  If I see either, tell my allies.

Jon Goldbloom Action:
Ask the people with us what they know about Eastmire and New Manila.

Well, it should be reasonable to port some of the heated gasses through a separate nozzle, though I don't know if you want the simple AI of that thing in control of it. The only thing about the flamethrower is that it would require additional fuel to be pumped into it's line while it fires, meaning it would drain some extra fuel.

Jon Goldbloom Action:
Ask the people with us what they know about Eastmire and New Manila.

You climb to the top of a very tall tree, the wind swaying it's top. You are far above all the other trees of the forest. The horde is still a good 50 miles away. You see a group of perhaps 80 people who escaped the village on foot, only a few miles ahead of the horde, occasionally one falls behind and is picked off by the horrors wandering ahead of the horde. The only flying craft you see is far off in the distance, not anywhere near Eastmire.

You tell the others of this.

Jon asks about both the cities. It is said that Eastmire has grown immensely in the past few decades, going from a small village such that their own was, to fairly large and prosperous trading city. They say that they have not yet seen a spaceport in it. New Manila is even larger, containing several space ports, and a large military citadel. It is this planets capital, in the center of all the cities, it receives the most trade.

Keep a watchful eye out. Shoot any goo monsters in sight.

Phil mentions the horde being quite far away, you keep watch regardless. Nothing much happens.

try to use our clothes to patch up the uniforms. And then on the boat we go.
[5]

You, along with the help of the soldiers with you, patch up all the uniforms, put them on, and proceed to the bases interior. You coast around the large walls to the seaport within the base, passing by several large water based destroyers, their halls sleek and smooth, you know that their are powerful weapons hidden beneath it, which can be released at a moments notice.

The base itself consists of many structures, barracks, storage rooms, a hospital, and in the center a very large building, with a tall spire sticking out it's center. On the eastern wall there are a group of landing pads and an air control tower. On the west, a secure looking building, a sign says "Armory & Prison".

You park the boat along with several other small patrol boats, and begin walking towards the structures within the base. A man with several large insignia greets you all "Did you encounter trouble? We heard gunfire a short time ago.."

"We heard it too, but we don't know where that came from."

Proceed to the base. If the guard doesnt believe me, use my powers to change her mind.

"Hey boys, any ideas on where to go? "

Keep refueling until there's reason to move. Try to fashion bullets out of extra scrap metal for MWP.

"I need parts! Joints, pipes, plating, pistons, engines, axes, blades, things!"

"We heard it too, but we don't know where that came from."

Proceed to the base. If the guard doesnt believe me, use my powers to change her mind.

"Hey boys, any ideas on where to go? "

You talk up the guard with your excellent persuasion skills, and manage to get them to go away. One of the men whispers "What about the prison and armory? We could arm the prisoners and have them create a distraction, so we can enter the command building."

Keep refueling until there's reason to move. Try to fashion bullets out of extra scrap metal for MWP.

"I need parts! Joints, pipes, plating, pistons, engines, axes, blades, things!"

The villagers, fazed from the possible deaths of many of their friends who are still running from the horde, give you odd looks. You work on fashioning some ammo, getting into the rythym of things, occasionally wiping the tears away for your poor physics.

You have made a sizeable amount of ammo when your electrolytic water converter makes several popping noises on it's insides, it's water intake pipe bursts, sparks and water steam flowing out of it.

Fridge, Jon, Phil, Newton:

Nothing much happens for some time, you all chat with the surviving villagers. At one point one asks where his friend is, another points to the cities entrance, saying he wanted to check out the markets. The man is grasping his shoulder, and failing to hide a limp. He walks into the city and around a corner, out of your sight.

"Come on people! This whole situation is quite mad! It's perfect time to play mad scientist and build a weapon capable of destroying those monsters!"

Upon noticing the problem with the fuel fabricator Professor sighs.

"Oh great... Now this."

Shut down the water pump, I have enough water in the converter already. Collect the intake pipe into the truck and quickly analyze what went wrong.
Load as many bullets into MWP as it can take. Speech!

"Okey people! It's time to continue. We don't want to be sitting here unarmed and unprepared when the monsters finally reach us! Let's move on and alert the people in the city!"

"Hrm," PFC Fridge says, not feeling like articulating further.

Let's move. Into the city or onward to New Manila, but let us just move.
