Make sure my perimeter is secure, that I am goo-free and that the surrounding area is goo-free as well. Stay as close to my group as possible.

ok, we need to enter by sea. Go search in the northern side, any possible way of stealing boats?

What did you want to do with The Moonlight Shadow's character?  Kill him, keep him alive and control him, or something else?

---
Also, I edited my previous action now that I know the relay can be carried on my back.

Newton assists Wilhelm in answering the villagers' panicked questions.
Those things are monsters born of what, for lack of a better term, we'll call magic. I know, it's ridiculous. But for now, let's just leave it at that okay? They are dangerous, they are infectious, and they are a direct threat to you all. I cannot tell you how exactly they came to be, or why they are what they are. But we have fought them and killed them before. If you keep your heads, act calmly, and follow the orders of your leaders, you will be fine. That said, be prepared to move quickly. Time is short, and your lives are more important than your homes.

...

For what it is worth, I am truly sorry.

Your speech seems to have worked well enough. The people react with a variety of emotions: anger, despair, hopelessness, but manage to rally and prepare to leave. A few people volunteer to defend the village. 3 people head off to receive the hover truck and another 10 volunteer to stay behind and hold the creatures off until the trap is set off. Wilhelm will arm them through the towns meager weapon supply.

Make sure my perimeter is secure, that I am goo-free and that the surrounding area is goo-free as well. Stay as close to my group as possible.

Your hands seem to be cleansed of any goo. You walk the perimeter of the village, after about ten minutes three men come back with the hover truck, covered in goo, their faces clearly showing the horror which they are feeling. "They are coming... an entire horde of them."

"Oh great, I was just about getting ready... Hey people, anyone mind towing my truck near the forest into the village!? I can't go because I have to make fuel for it! It is a great truck, well worth of risking your life for! It has automated defense drone on board, so it should keep you safe!"

Persuade people sacrificing themselves to drag the truck into village.
Construct a device that deconstructs water via electrolysis, cools resulting free oxygen and hydrogen into liquids with boosted AC unit and stores them into insulated tanks for later use. Using the parts I earned and whatever is available.
Should people get the truck into the village, hook up the device with the trucks fuel tanks and powersource.
Start producing rocket fuel regardless.

((Where's my weapons platform? On the truck? In that case it probably would be shooting the goo things.))

You manage to trick a few people into possible death, after about ten minutes they all return, covered in goop, their faces alert with horror. "They are coming... an entire horde of them."

You construct the device and begin producing fuel for the truck, and run a tube to the river delta for water.

The trucks sentry is out of ammunition.

A reckless idea enters Phil's mind.  It's risky, but it might be necessary.  He turns toward Wilheim.
"We need to contact The Federation.  If we hurry, they might have the firepower to wipe out this infestation before it consumes this entire planet.  Wait for me, I'll be back."

Run back to the truck.  Grab the backpack relay and equip it.  If I can carry more then also grab the small computer and the Heat shield plating.  Then run back to the town.  After I return, use it to send a quick message to The Federation telling them about the current situation and our location.  Request total incineration of the infected landscapes.

You run off with the people who are recovering the hover truck. You all manage to survive, making a close brush with death. A monstrous noise was filling the forest behind you. A chorus of inhuman screams, filling your mind with unmentionable horrors. A nightmare come to life.

Ed comes up to you with Captain Fred's ID card, you scan it with the relay before sending the message. Hopefully lending more credibility. You send the message, a reply has not yet been received. It might take them some time to process this because of it's unsettling and unbelievable nature... and there might not yet be a capable ship in orbit.

Main group:

We will assume that Captain Fred is dumped into the hover truck.

At this point, the villagers are loading up food stores and valuable equipment into their few vehicles, along with any too old to hoof it. Those who have volunteered have set themselves on rooftops facing the woods. The trap is ready to go. You can only hope that the hover truck has enough fuel to get you far far away.

Final checks are being made as a gunshots and shouts sound from the defensive perimeter. Within a minute they light the trap building afire. Starting slowly, it soons bursts into a mountains of flame, lighting up the night landscape.

What is seen can only be described as ones worst nightmares come to life, all the horrors of the world barreling from the forest, climbing atop the buildings to the sentries and charging down the streets. The sound of their collective mouths can be compared to the sound of the gates of hell being torn open; thousands of tortured souls screaming into the depths of your souls.

The villagers scream in horror, some running, knocking over those in there ways. Others, standing solemn as a statue, awaiting their deaths. A few decide to stand and fight, grabbing a hold of any weapons they can find, real or makeshift.

City Group:

ok, we need to enter by sea. Go search in the northern side, any possible way of stealing boats?

Yes, you observe the shifts for guarding the boats and notice a few gaps in their coverage of the smaller patrol boats. You might also want to find some disguises while your at it. That said, there are several guards barracks positioned on the citadels exterior. If you don't wish to use some other method, you could always risk sneaking in and stealing some while many of them are sleeping.

Some of the men with you stay behind at the hotel and monitor radio communications. They are able to listen in on federation comms, as they have managed to decrypt them. They say that a man came on shortly and mentioned an infection of some sort to the east. He said that the situation is very bad, and asked that the effected areas be bombarded from orbit.

The news is worrying, if it is true.

"This is...depressing." Phil says as he watches the madness unfolding.  He wipes away several tears from his eyes and returns his focus to the mission on hand.

"Professor, we need to go as soon as possible.  Jon, Fridge, I've got an idea.  We can deter them with fire, right?  Fridge, can you use your telekinesis to bring down a few trees and put them between us and the monsters?  If you can, then Jon can set them on fire and buy us some time!"

If Fridge attempts to telekinectically throw some trees down and is struggling, focus on him and attempt to amplify his telekinetic sixth sense to 500%.  If I fail to do that, or he doesn't need the boost, then instead grab a weapon and amplify the sight of myself and all defending allies to 200%.  Shoot at the monsters approaching us.

Jon Goldbloom action:
Electrify all incoming goo creatures.  If Fridge puts down trees or flammable materials in front of us, then electrify them to set them ablaze.

"Don't exactly have much staying power with this magic. If I try to bring a tree down, odds are I'll start bleeding from my eyeballs or my head'll explode or something. Better try something lighter."

Try throwing flammable garbage in the path of the enemies. Pace myself. If it seems to be messing me up, focus on shooting things that make it too far.

Load all my bullets and whatever small and sturdy objects I can find into MWP. Demand people donate bullets for my MWP, since it is far more accurate than they can ever hope to be! Protect the truck at all costs!
How's the fuel situation? How long until tanks are full?

Professor stands on top of the truck, empty weapons in both hands pointing up, wind waving his lab coat and shadows dancing on his face. He can't help but grin on face of this nightmarish situation. Maybe he should build few flamethrowers, or modify truck thrusters to function as flamethrowers... But he doesn't have enough time for such extensive operation.

Actually just scavange parts and some random fuel and build a flamethrower or two. On board of the truck, don't want to left behind after all.

gogogogogogo Fleefleefleeflee. Ride the truck if it is operational. Reduce it's mass and everything and person on it in order to increase range and speed. Send the truck down the road until we find a city with a spaceport or the truck dies.

Yeah ... so, we were supposed to light the fire after the monsters entered the building. But that didn't really matter as there were already more of them than were containable. (I knew this).

I'm just going to stick the initial group on the hover truck, driving away from the town. If there are any objections to leaving immediately, we can step back a turn if necessary.

Yeah ... so, we were supposed to light the fire after the monsters entered the building. But that didn't really matter as there were already more of them than were containable. (I knew this).

The way I wrote it was with the idea that they raided the perimeter so quickly that it didn't take long for the building to fill up and be lit.

You start off by throwing a few of the smaller flaming chunks of the trap building at the creatures, lighting some on fire, and dispersing many others. Some of the villagers begin filling glass bottles with fuel and lighting them for you, letting you telekinetically throw them at the horde. It's quite effective, setting them alight and causing them to run mindlessly around the village. Some of them go through house windows lighting them afire. The fire is beginning to spread throughout the village now.

You enhance the senses of the others and yourself, allowing you all to be more effective in combat. You fire at the horde of monsters streaming from the woods and through the village.

Jon focuses all his energy, sending bursts of electricity at groups of creatures, setting them into a violent fit of spasms on the ground, and setting them alight with a longer pulse.

Load all my bullets and whatever small and sturdy objects I can find into MWP. Demand people donate bullets for my MWP, since it is far more accurate than they can ever hope to be! Protect the truck at all costs!

You load up a collection of your own and "donated" objects and bullets into the MWP, it clicks on and begins firing at the fiendish creatures.

The tanks are at 25%. This is enough to get you pretty far, especially since you are now driving on open road. It can also get you far enough away from the horde so you can stop and make more fuel if necessary.

gogogogogogo Fleefleefleeflee.

Everyone gets on and you all begin to drive away, shooting at the creatures in the village.

Village Group:

The collective assault of you all and the villagers results in many dead horrors, but the horde keeps coming, seemingly of endless size. Some of the creatures that are lit on fire end up running into other buildings, lighting them up and spreading the fire further. You see the civilians begin to leave, some pile into vehicles, while others run for their lives. Those who are too slow find themselves being dragged into the flames, being eaten alive by the horrors.

You drive for about 4 hours southwest on the small road, a massive black stack of smoke forever behind you. The further west you head, you find the road to be bordered by swamps and marshes, occasionally finding the road flooded. You find yourself on a road near a fairly large city, many small skyrises piercing the sky. A sign labels it as "Eastmire". The city is impressive, being that it has conquered the vast swamps of the area. Another sign on the road reads "To New Manila". There is a fair amount of traffic on the road, with many travelers parking in an area on the cities outskirts. You don't see much traffic in the air though.

Your relay clicks to life, The Federation has decided to reply directly to your relay, possibly after some deliberation. (This is not a live communication, but a recorded message) "Hello, this is Admiral Chambers of The Federation Starfleet. Though your communications device is unauthorized, we shall ignore that for now, due to the severe danger of your situation if it is a reality. My superiors thought your message to be fake, and told me to ignore it. I refuse to put that to chance. The Sixth Battle Group has been training in this system, and is now on it's way to your location. Help is coming."

Did he just say Battle Group? Newton asks. We are never getting out of here alive.Newton sighs. Well, our options remain as they were. On to new Manila, and of this godforsaken death hole dirtball.

((tempted to find a pace suit [we still have those?] and just launch myself into space. That half finished spacecraft is still up there ...

"I am not sure if we should answer that transmission or not. We could send a message stating that the town is destroyed, but that might reveal our location."

Find closest source of free water, drive near it and start pumping more water fuel. I want those tanks full.
How are villagers? Got any on board? Especially that woman from bar/restaurant?

Integrate another weapon or two into MWP so it will have two independently moving barrels. While crying for my dear physics being bended over. Look parts for building powered exoskeleton.
