"Me too, Ed. I think the professor may have destroyed this world. It seems to infect faster, now that it's away from him."

Once we've burned the corpses, continue searching the island for more black gunk creatures.

"It's kind of a shitty off-brand Old Earth anyway, so it's no big loss. Just gotta make sure we're not on it in, say, a week or two," PFC Fridge says.

((How much I need to stay biological in order to employ my powers?))

For now, the good Doctor only bandages his blistered arm with his best ability and loads shit into truck. And do some judo practice moves to see how well that works with robo leg.

"This thing needs an anti-gravity propulsion. And perhaps an inertia manipulator. Go all Arilou Lalee'lay. Hmm."

"Great!  I've learned a lot.  Before we head back, we might as well do some hunting.  Would you like the honor, Jon?"

Look around for the biggest animal nearby that might provide a decent meal.  If I find one, point to it and then reduce both its sense of hearing and sight to 10% while Jon fries it.  Afterward, return to base with the animal corpse and prepare it into a meal.

Jon Goldbloom Action:
Go along with Phil.  When he points to an animal, generate and fire electricity at that animal to kill it.  Then help Phil carry the animal back to base.

(Only posted another Jon action since it didn't seem like anyone else was going to)

"Well, unless you count the numerous humans living here. Not to mention the potential for infecting the rest of civilization. But yeah, other than that, it's just a big wet ball of dirt and stuff. I suppose we could leave a note or something."

"Y'know, there's kind of a strait between us and the nearest civilization. I wouldn't worry so much about detection," PFC Fridge points out. "What I would worry about is evil magic smoke, though. That could fuck us up, you never know."

Follow Newton's lead, but make sure to keep a very respectable distance from the fire.
Newton glances at Fridge and nods thoughtfully, then shoots the squirrel and the former leg as well. HE then uses the animal control pole to grab bot creatures (dragging one with it to the toher first, if necessary), getting the loop around both.

"I kinda figured we'd need to plug him into a terminal somewhere and communicate through electronics, myself. Let's burn these things. No telling if that black gunk is still alive in there. Think there are others? Ugh, i just realized, I pulled some of that goo out of the Professor while on ship." Newton looks darkly at the bright sky for a moment. "I don't think it demonstrated any life while we were up there, though. I don't know, it's been a rough day.

Oh, we better not burn them in the daylight though - the smoke will be a dead giveaway that someone is out here. Damn! waiting until nightfall seems like a bad idea, too."

collect enough wood for a corpse burning fire, and move it into the nearest clearing, off the crown of the hill, while at least one of us remains guarding the creature at all times. Inspect the squirrel and the legbeast occasionally for signs of change. At any sign of change, concentrate on the creatures and use gravity to crush them.

((can we get a player list in the OP? Name, power and skills is enough, no need to trawl through their backstories and whatnot.))

Fridge shoots both creatures again, and aids Newton in gathering wood. He stands back a good 100 feet once Newton has started the fire. At first, there is little effect, but once the fire gains strength, it began to rapidly burn through the creatures, the smell of burning flesh in the air. Both of the corpses burn to dust.

Hmm."

Just a brain should be enough. But, if you only have a brain, then that is the only thing that your powers can backfire upon and damage.

You bandage up your hand and begin loading up the truck. Once loaded, it hovers a bit lower than before, but should still work fine. You practice your judo moves on some nearby saplings, snapping them to pieces with each kick.

It takes some time, but after about an hour, you both find a deer eating in a grassy clearing. It looks up at you, weighing on what it should do. It clearly has not seen a human before. It stomps around a bit when Phil reduces it's hearing and sight, clearly confused. Jon blasts it with a bolt of electricity, stopping it's heart. You both grab two legs and carry it back to camp.

About 10 minutes away from camp, you hear some rustling in the bushes and stop. A large wolf walks out, wimpering at you. It has a limp on it's back left leg. Upon closer examination, the leg has turned a shiny black, and occasionally spasms, throwing the wolf to the ground. It whines loudly, clearly not aggressive towards you, and in great pain.

"So much for holding the guy hostage."

Do a quick search for supplies in the shuttle, and take all we can carry.

"I think we should head for the city. We're not equipped to trek through the desert, or go over mountains."

If any medical supplies are found, apply to self. Then start walking towards the city.

You find a medkit, and a flare gun (which can also work in space). You bandage up both of your cuts and proceed along with the other man, who you do not even know the name of.

Conein and The Moonlit Shadow:
You both proceed along towards the city, marching through the grassy plains.  You approach the city, and see not one person. Firepits are still burning, and market stalls are full of goods. The buildings are built of a brick that looks to be carved from the walls of the mountain that the city is laid against. All the house doors are locked, and you think you saw some movement through the windows. You see a fairly large building at the end of the street. It stands out from all the others. Something glitters for a moment of the mountainside.

((Heh, judo kicks.))

"We might wanna go and see if the deer's feeling black and gunky, too."

Go and see if the deer seems infested with demon-stuff, too. If yes, burn. Continue looking for other threatening demon-infested phenomena afterward.

Yeah, but you were gagged, bound, and blindfolded almost the entire time.

((Heh, judo kicks.))
Uh, whoops. I'm assuming that judo doesn't involve doing kicks, ever.

((Judo does have kicks, but those are not permitted in official sports. And I have unleashed something horrible. 8) ))

Build new module for our relay(s). It provides new wide range communication network using new power based encryption type. Hopefully undetectable and unbreakable, or at least hard one. Assuming we have any spare electronics left.

After that, chill. Sunbathe, if sun shining warmly enough. Solve some hard physics problems for fun. Wait for my companions.

((We're not the ones who found the deer. Megggas and Jon did. They also found the blackleg wolf.))

"Deer, rabbits, squirrels, bear, whatever is out here. Let's go. This could take forever." Track the evil demon sludge. If Ed can follow the backtrail, then do that and follow carefully. Otherwise, track backward through the woods toward base, crisscrossing the trail we arrived on, looking for signs of evil infection.

"....this looks like something the professor needs to see."

Put the deer corpse down.  Reduce the wolf's sense of touch to 10% and lift up the wolf and carry it back to the camp.  If I can't carry the wolf, then try to make it follow me back to the camp, if possible.

Jon Goldbloom action:
If Phil needs assistance moving the wolf, then assist with that.  Otherwise, attempt to drag the deer corpse.  If I haven't already, slit the deer's throat using a knife or sharp instrument, so that the body bleeds out while it's being dragged.

(These black goo creatures might be attracted to blood, so we might be able to lure them to us with a trail of deer blood.)

I believe that he is speaking of the deer that you two found the blank gunk monster eating. I am going to update this tomorrow.
