"Damn it, professor! this is your mess!"

Newton and Ed get on the truck, aiding everyone else to get on, then shoots any creatures that approaching and gravity spikes any creatures that get too close, hard enough to crush them to the ground. Newton's first priority is keeping creatures away from himself, then Ed, and then Fridge.

Jon's ability is electrical, right? Have him drain a lot of the electrons out of a creature into a ball shaped area, then allow them to rapidly reenter their bodies from a single point. Repeat as necessary.

"Mine? Why? Because they injected smething into my leg? Because I had to cut it off in order to survive and NOT become one of them? Or because I failed to tell Phil that he should have captured my leg as soon as it was cut off? That doesn't sound crazy at all. Nope."

(( I thought it was odd that the entire party let that thing hop on by when we first encountered it :P
I got a little of ooc knowledge mixed in there, knowing that it was a backfire of your magic that caused the goo, but even so, Newton believes this was the professor anyway. Not that he thinks it was intentional, but the heat of the moment is up, and you did just indicate a complete willingness to casually ditch the entire party. >:( ))

((Well, it sounds like we are outmatched anyway, so I and Professor believe we should save ourselves and get back to the fight when we are better prepared.))

"This day just keeps getting better and better...."

Retreat with the professor.  As we retreat, attempt to amplify the sight of both Fridge and Newton to 200%, so that it will be easier for them to target any creatures pursuing us.

If amplifying their sight doesn't help, then instead just use a gun to fire at anything pursuing us.

"All right. The truck is going to leave now. Stay behind fighting pointlessly or hop on."

Drive the hover truck away from the area regardless if anyone else is on or not. Hastily, but fuel efficiently. To east, and then south I think, avoiding that tree snapping thing from south. Onwards to civilization, if anyone tells me where one can be found.

And MWP is already on truck, right?

Yeah it is, you proceed onwards with everyone else. Like I said, once the fuel runs out you all will have to push it. You should be able to get off this island at least. Probably further.

"Hrm."

Hop onto the truck, then shoot anything threatening that comes after us with trusty gauss rifle.

You hop on and start gunning down the goo wolves, which is much easier due to Phil increasing your sense of sight.

You both do so.

Forest Group:

The hover truck speeds away, with The Professor navigating through the forest, towards the beach by the hill to the east. The wolves are quickly outmatched by the efforts of you all, falling prey to your combined assault. You see the severed limbs of some of them crawl off into the woods.  A large creature barrels out of the woods behind you all. It resembles a bear, except for the fact that all it's hair has fallen off, thick black plates have grown on it's body, and massive pincers have grown from it's jaw. It is running towards you all, quickly gaining.

Your about halfway to the eastern coast. ((We'll assume Fridge and Newton told the Professor where the shallow area in the water is over there)).

"What? No! We were prisoners..."

"Also, what's the Federation? Please... can you help us?"

Throw down our weapons. I have a feeling about these people. Do whatever he tells me to.

((Nice to see you back, conein, even if you only disappeared for a single turn.))
"Huh... No?... Do you have something clever to say talisman? I hope so."

Talisman and Melkas:

You both set your weapons down, and raise your hands.

The armed men have a brief and quiet discussion and the man speaks again "So, you are prisoners? If what you claim is true... then we welcome you! My name is Telgus, and we are rebelling against The Federation... we wish to have our world become independent from it. Did you destroy that shuttle?"

"As for what The Federation is, it is the main governing body of humanity. Ruling over most human worlds. It is a democratic government... but, they have been known to do rather unsavory things when they think no one is looking, and sometimes treat worlds such as ours quite poorly. Where do you stand in this? If you are infact found to be spies... you will be dealt with."

Telgus stares you down, his face solid as stone, awaiting an answer.

"No, we are not spies. We got kidnapped by someone, possibly the federation, and we found ourselves in the shuttle. It crashed, so I'm pretty sure it's destroyed."

Off the island onto main land is the goal. MWP gotta shoot that nudist bear.

"I have an idea! Let's bombard this island with napalm!"

"Yeah, let's do that. let's do that with extreme prejudice!"

I think you can guess what Newton is doing: shooting and grav-spiking the thing's head. With extreme prejudice.

((in fact, I might try out a somewhat novel move with my gravity powers when we are "safe" ...
nobody look at the island when I do ...Edit: maybe not. I don't think it will work like I thought it would work. oops.))

Attempt to decrease the goo bear's sight and hearing to 10%.  If the goo bear's immune to my abilities, then instead take a gun, amplify my own sense of sight to 500%, and try to look for weak points on the bear.  Shoot those weak points if I find any.  If I don't have a gun, instead amplify Fridge's sight to 500% while he looks for weak points to shoot.

"Fuck yeah, hawkeyes. Not sure how they help, but they sure do!"

Shoot the goo bear in all the right places to take it down.

Well... through a combination of all your powers, and good rolls you are all sucessful once again. It seems like the main thing that gets you is overwhelming numbers. You manage to reach the beach and cross the shallow area with the truck. You drive a bit on the mainland, but your fuel runs out. Looks like you'll have to push the thing from here on. (Unless you can find some rocket fuel.. in a remote forest).

@Ozark: What was the plan you had in mind?
______________________________________________________________________________________________

"We tried to escape. The shuttle crashed while we fought the pilot. It's over that way.

Point toward the general direction of the shuttle.
"No, we are not spies. We got kidnapped by someone, possibly the federation, and we found ourselves in the shuttle. It crashed, so I'm pretty sure it's destroyed."

"Yes, it was indeed a Federation shuttle, we were watching it from here. At your approach, we had thought that you were surviving soldiers, and wanted to catch you off guard. An unusual amount of shuttles have been heading to and from the south. For reasons unknown."

Telgus looks around and signals his men, they all lower their guns. He yells "Come now! Join us! Everyone may come out now, it is safe... these men took down that shuttle for us!"

The doors of many houses slowly open, people gazing out. They come to you both, praising you, and shaking your hands. Telgus leads you to past the building in the center of the city, it has flags, and fake soldiers made of wood positioned on it's roof. "It's a decoy, in case we are attacked... our true base is there, in the mountain, beneath hundreds of feet of rock." he points to the mountainside, where you see no noticeable entrance. He leads you to a rock face, and pushes on a non-distinct rock. A false wall opens up and he leads you inside.

The interior is quite impressive, and contains sleek, high-tech looking equipment. Telgus explains that most of it has been stolen in raids. He leads you to a fairly large apartement, it has a bunkbed for you to share, a bathroom, and a living room. He explains that it is one of the higher quality rooms.

"Rest up, eat up, and drink up. We have use for people such as you. You took down a shuttle, now let's see what else you can do..."
