Melinda's first perk, the Roar, was a way of fixing the AoE of allies. giving them a bonus alongside the debuff.

Melinda's Legendary perk was for not only criting Kren, but also dealing enough damage as a level 1 character to OHKO him. The perk was already going to be awarded to the person who dealt the kill blow, but Melinda earned it.

EDIT: I am also very sore and very tired. Moving huge ass furniture is not fun, nor will it ever be fun for someone of my build. I am not strong enough for this.

No, you get legendary perks for beating a enemy 5 times your level in one hit. Kren was fucking level 5 to your level 1. Running during that fight was very viable, as well as Melinda practically fighting on her own. She earned it.

Yeah, kinda also helped by how she denied anyone else attacks.
And isn't a boss there so the entire team HAS to take it down? With buckets of health and powerful techniques? Try ensuring a boss is powerful enough.

@PN, I honestly would love to see a stealth oriented character who focuses on crits.

@KJ, That was one problem with the old system.

@Adragis, Blame the fact that the roar didn't have IFFs. Friend or foe detection should have been listed if it had it, and me, as a GM who loves semi-realism, took that bait and ran a mile with it. Give a drama leech any kind of opportunity and we will milk it dry. :P But yeah, Bosses will have their own rule set to go along with the normal rules. Bosses have the same character sheet as the players, but a few differences such as starting health total and such. I will be very busy the rest of this week and most of next with just putting the rules I have written on text document into the OP with some level of coherence. As I have said, I used the Fantasy age system along with some modifications to help with the fact that this game isn't in person.


Anywho, I'm probably going to go to bed now. See ya'll in the morning. Probably.

with the changes to how the perks she has work, she will be dealing a whole lot less damage in the future. However, she will also be a whole lot tankier, which is closer to my original intention

well, actually without the perk I have in mind, tanking is very weak in this system.

your AC is just your CON, +whatever armor you have, but that is not very high. Meanwhile damage is STR or WILL +1d4, *minimum*. With the spell system as it is, very few spells actually will deal will+1d4, even a basic level 1 spell, assuming it does nothing but deal damage, can deal up to will+5d4.



HMMM... now that I look at that, this is a bit much..

Sanure, official proposal: Consider an effect cap depending on a spells level regarding how many times certain effects can be stacked. With health as it is, with the base of 30+con, level 1 spells should not be able to deal up to 20 damage.

Of course I remember the riot. It's hard to forgetting 27 people dying you know. But my point is that if it takes another month to try and fix the system, the next riot is going to be ten times bigger. And we don't want that, do we?
