Sanure, how the heck are you even able to use a computer? Because that section on how the ship is powered is just so pants-on-head retarded I wonder how you're able to function properly. @PN, Because It's not the entire Layar race attacking us, but a rogue faction. The Layar themselves do not want to attack us because they did get their asses handed to them. The Red fleet, however, want to gather Amberite, a fossilized form of ancient mana. In real life, it's a substance thats made from guncotton, barium nitrate, and paraffin, but this isn't real life, but a game, so the real life version is less likely.

@Smurf, Because if you were attacking the planet who would you kidnap? The weak mundane people who you could wipe out by flat out attacking now, or the magical kids with the most power and who were a threat the first time you attacked?

What about the entirety of the magical community that wasn't abducted, then? Not only are these kids completely unrelated to the Northsdale Five, the kids with the actual firepower, the majority of the abductees wouldn't pose much of a threat.

Considering amberite needs to be mined, and the normals don't know what it is, the Layar would be better off just buying it bulk on the downlow.

Also, amberite is fucking dumb, but that goes without saying. Guncotton, barium nitrate, and paraffin makes tonite, not amberite.

Eh, I looked it up, Wyoming is the state with the lowest population (<600 000, even DC, a much smaller area, has more people), it's also near the center, and kinda big.
In other words, less likely for us to be detected. As it rates 50th place in population and 49th place for population density.

Edit: Correction, it had the 52nd highest population in 2010, it's 50th in 2014. Then again, Puerto Rico and DC weren't included in the 2014 ranking.

So it uses an outdated nuclear reactor from the 20th century? Besides the point that the deuterium is a moderator, not a coolant, it's also inefficent as hell and only works on the large scale, unlike the shuttle.

Some questions then:

1. Why does it need to recharge
2. Why not use that deuterium for fusion instead
3. how is it creating deuterium without an ongoing fusion reaction onboard

1. The deuterium is it's fuel. It recharges it because it eventually runs out of fuel.
2. Because turning the Deuterium into Tritium is a lot more fuel efficient. in a reactor.
3. Electrolysis can be used to get deuterium by breaking down any water into base elements and keeping the heavy water that's made. Doesn't need fusion to do so.
