...is she, though? Mary Sues are, by definition, unrealistically perfect characters. Kasai doesn't really strike me as one based on the sheet, although I haven't really been paying attention to the IC.

Even if they have a Sue-ish personality, ability wise they are far from it because they are near useless in a fight except for taking hits.

Well, in her backstory she helped a fox despite her freezing, herself, and for some reason, the fox didn't bite her.
The fox died, but still. She tried.

The first one falls under either CloudCuckoolander, Good Samaritan or something else. Most Mary Sues don't even bother helping anything that doesn't outright act sycophantic to it.
Getting rewarded for nothing....no, not really. Getting rewarded for doing horrible things despite said things being acknowledged as horrible in universe, close.
I don't know, maybe it's her resembling a kitsune and people being pervs? There's plenty of non-Sues with that trait.
