But random hikers are humans, and you said Vira only eats convenient humans. Looking out in the woods on the off chance you find an isolated hiker in the area isn't convenient.

Nah, if Vira gets offed, I might do that as a joke character. But no reason to waste a perfectly good character.

Vira is in shape, and actually a bit underweight. She doesn't eat enough.

Eh, from what I've heard, it's harder to get fat on a meat diet. You'd need to eat the fat of your prey, and that doesn't taste good.
Not to mention, hunting takes energy, so hunters would be in better shape than farmers.

From what I've heard, agriculture was adopted to support a bigger population, as humans got way too numerous for nature to handle.
Humans are so bad ass they had to fix nature to give enough food to support the growing population.

I'm totally going to make a red Mage character. But she shall have a gimmick. She will constantly try to inflict status effects to her own teammates, but in return they all will be healed for SP and AP when they get inflicted with one~

That's the kind of character who 'accidentally' gets shot in the back with a grenade. :P

And? She would be your best healer, since she can heal both your HP, and your AP and SP.
