Aye

The voting ends.  All Towers return their tablets to the boys, who present them to the Senex.

Results of Voting

Motion 1: 31 Aye, 10 Nay, 4 Abstain

Motion 2: 7 Aye, 38 Nay [17 Elbegast, 18 Goldbloom, 3 Judge (+3 Co-Jayne)]

Motion 3: 17 Aye, 24 Nay, 4 Abstain

The Senex stands.

SENEX:  "The votes have been counted.  It is the will of this Council that the aqueduct extension to occupied Irlax be completed at the city's expense, that Baron Umlak be rejected in favour of Tower Goldbloom as Governor of Sarlax, and that Ragona arbitrates in favour of Fentius over the border dispute."

The Senex strikes his staff once, and the Towers disperse.

It is now the Night Phase.  You may now send your Actions to the GM via PM.  Once received they will be processed, actions resolved, pre-day messages sent and the new Day will begin.

Interlude
Ragona's Amphitheatre

Invitations are sent out to all the Towers to attend a performance of the heralded musician, Octavia, generously sponsored by House Windborn.  Being one of the public works Ragona funds, the amphiteatre is packed with plebs in the lower stands, but the Towers and nobles naturally have their own gallery, above the filth of the common man.  Octavia opens her set with a piercing aria, a recently composed piece praising the heroic actions of the Shadow Stalkers in the siege of Salrax - no hiding who her patron is.

As usual for an event sponsored by one of the Towers, food, drink and slaves are provided for the Towers' needs.

Tower Jayne sits next to Tower Elbegast in the Tower Gallery

"I don't know about you, but I never really cared for foreign music... But then apparently this is the season's prime social occasion, and one simply cannot avoid it.

Still, I guess it's good to see you. I'm very sorry about this governorship business. I wonder how much his post cost Goldbloom in bribes... Oh, well, at least we will get to meet more often I guess."

Tower Evers enter amphiteater and strides directly to Tower Goldbloom.
"YOU!" He brazenly points at Lewis.
"Are you planing to care for your subjects? Can you show me that you will be better governor for them than one of their own?"
