Have you clipped her nails? It won't solve the issue, but it will make it less painful.
No, but she doesn't use her claws, she just bites.

The power of pure orange oil.

By applying it to your feet, your feet will simultaneously smell wonderful to you, and horrifically terrible to your kitten.

The problem is that then the kitten won't get to nibble on his feet, something she apparently loves doing.

Wow, this thread is just full of horrible advice.

It's just a kitten thing, she will grow out of it.  One day you will look back at this with nostalgia.

It's this. You're her brother now, you're more attractive to her than any toy. And you make noises and move around when she bites you, and that is hilarious.

Only solution: Get thicker socks, as andres said, or play with her with a toy 100% of the time to divert her attention. Otherwise all you can do is enjoy the attention and the cutitude.

Last words: she is totes adorables :3

To a significantly lesser extent.  The orange oil is in the orange peel, not the meat of the orange. There is not a whole lot of essential oil in an orange peel.

Many fragrance sprays are made with orange oil-- They are usually pretty cheap.  It makes an effective cat repellent.

Uh... try not to poison your kitten with orange oil. All citrus oils are very toxic to cats. This thread is a bit strange.

Get cat toys and play with them until cat is tired. Place cat on lap. When cat awakes, repeat the procedure. o-o

I've been doing what Caz just suggested for a while with a puppy that does the same, and so far it mostly works.

Pretty much this.
Kitten are constantly playing with each other, or pouncing up on mom, as part of learning how to cat. She'll grow out of it, eventually, but it's a pretty important part of her education.

Hey, don't dismiss a working solution. If the kitten is sick or dead then it won't attack his feet.

It works, it just may have some unintended side affects, written in very fine print... minor things like sicknessnausea and deathrigor mortis.

I did not suggest spraying the cat, I suggested putting the oil on his feet.

There are many other oils that are repellent to cats besides orange oil.  Substitute as desired.

The LD50 of orange oil in cats is around 350grams per pound of cat body weight. You would have to spray the kitten directly to get that kind of exposure.

Smear the hottest sauce you can find on your feet. Or just panzerfaust.
