Thus far, no one has tried to bribe the Crowns.  In fairness, they're (supposedly) incorruptible, so that's fair enough.  At least one player did get a cushy contract off them, mind.

The rules say "On the Last Fortnight of Every Year". Assuming we started at the beginning of the year, that's at turn 26.

Iituem use the roman calendar. It's currently Early Maius, or May. We started in Early Martius, or Mars. So we're at turn 5. Depending on how Iituem does it, we could have as little as 24 turns/year (if he divide the twelve month in 2), or he could use Mercedonius.

Just a small word of warning, Luke: if you're both sneaky AND powerful you'll have very little disposable income as most or all of your income will go on unit/agent upkeep (technically, you'll be running around -100d/fortnight but in practice probable Iituem may be more generous). The flip-side is, you'll be able to have a massive effect on the world each action-phase.
