shade, I think, had that plan been enacted before the group got here, it had a chance of working. As it is, the militia is already in the graveyard, and that much motion is going to attract their attention regardless. The first two spotted our skeletons at the heart of our dungeon the round after they entered, there's no sense doubting this group will as well.

It could still work, we put all the corpses over our dungeon heart to hide it and sell a sword or buckler then put a bat on top of it, they haven't seen our heart yet and they aren't wizards so they shouldn't be able to sense it.

True - giant bat killing guards as a sacrificial ploy might work, especially if we leave the two zombies 'dead' nearby to be found (and brought back to town for burial).

Bonus points if we let them kill the bat.

Especially if it's an epic fight where the bat kills a couple of them

part of me laughs that one of the major reasons we are being hassled is probably all that equipment we are filling our dungeon with.

I can't wait until our dungeon starts willing with enticing gold!

We need to let the bat mess up the corpses first, so it looks like a beast mauled them and they weren't killed by weapons

We could bury them.

alright, have the skeleton lay scattered about in our mausoleum, ell a rusty sword, summon a bat, have the bat tear at the fronts of the two zombies and have them lay behind and to the side of the mausoleum with the bat kinda in the shadows of a tree nearby (so it doesn't draw attention to the mausoleum). Once the enemy see the zombies, let them get somewhat close and then launch the bat at them. let everyone else play dead. Let the bat work the battle off toward the goblin woods, and let it fight to the death, so they think the danger is over.

But what to do with the zombies after? The guards are sure to come back for the bodies. just let them take them and rebury them?

+1 and yes, they don't require air so they will eventually heal and when it becomes clear that there is an undead menace we can have them pop out and maybe start a zombie plague.

It's actually a good experiment to see if minions can survive outside of dungeons.

Yeah, so am I. So why don't we just fight them normally?

Personally I would prefer fighting normally. But for some reason people seem to have decided to do a weird elaborate ploy.
