"Sweet... Wait, I think someone is doing something. I'm going to go check."
Kyle goes to check the unoppened doors.

"Okay then. Someone go get Kyle, he'll be pissed if we do this without him." HugoLuman follows Armach back down the stairs into the huge checkerboard room. They pause before the big red doors on the south of the wall while HugoLuman holds his hands against them. "Feels... a bit ominous? I'm definitely getting some misgivings but not like it's mortal danger I think?"
Arcvasti follows after Hugo.

**...I wouldn't rely too heavily on the danger sense if I were you. Like with the checkers game. Each move on its own posed no threat, but each of them inexorably moved you farther towards a terrible result until there was no way to avoid it. A checkmate, as it were, from which no move can extricate you. Not that the checker statues were terribly difficult to dismantle, but it was a demonstration of the limitations of the danger sense.**

Armach scratches his head and hesitantly steps inside the dark room with his phone's flashlight on.

"Yeah, the description did warn of 'imminent' danger specifically. Still, I think it might be good to check stuff with it."
Armach's flashlight doesn't reveal anything, though the floor of the room feels hard and the air slightly cool. "So... 6 podiums?" HugoLuman strolls in, sword ready-to-be-ready.

"Sweet... Wait, I think someone is doing something. I'm going to go check."
Kyle goes to check the unoppened doors.
(I should have had him prompt you, since this is a bit metagamey)
"See you 'round..."

Armach walks up to one of the podiums and investigates it.
There seems to be a small screen on the podium, and a large, silvery button.

Arcvasti, seeing as Armach didn't immediately die, comes into the room and examines Armach's pedestal.

**Oh dear, this promises to be interesting.**

HugoLuman takes a walk around all of them, getting the same feeling he got from the door. "They all seem to be identical."

"What's this one, then?"

Kyle walks in as well.
"Why six contestants?"
HugoLuman shrugs. "That's what the thingy says. Well, we've got more than six, looks like we've got some choices to make. Any volunteers?"
