Rolep decides to go back to the hangman room, trying to decide whether they should stop for the day and rest or not. His shoulder still hurt, and he had one hell of a headache from the screaming.

HugoLuman notices Rolepgeek come in, looking tired. "Oh hey."

"How long's it been since we came in here? There's no sun. I can't tell what time it is. And that screeching noise will not stop."

He rubs his temples with the balls of his thumbs as he says the last part.

"So, what next?"

HugoLuman checks his phone, which was protected from muddy water in his coat pocket. "Looks like... 2 and a half hours, I think. Wait, screaming?"

"What, you guys don't hear it? From the disco room, when I stabbed the lizard guy?"

As you stab the lizard. It turns to stare at you. The glow intensifies and gets a darker red. Blinding actually.

And then a noise screeches from the speakers. A horrible horrible horrible noise.

And then it stops. The glow suddenly fades

"No. Well I remember an audio shriek but it was brief. Er, this is a bit concerning."

[McDonald]

"I don't hear anything." McDonald scratches his head, looking at the computer. "I have no idea what the answer could be to this one."

"It's a peacock, not a peahen. Surely you all have heard this one before? The answer is 'peacocks don't lay eggs'. Considering the last one, just go with the linear solution, and if it doesn't work, let's think up a lateral one."

"Different payment options probably have different values. Arc selected future service, and Fallacy paid with solving riddles, guess which one is worth more. Although now I'm wondering how Arc could serve this computer."

(I don't think Arc actually told anyone what he selected as payment. Looking back, it seems only Adragis was in the room with him when it happened.)
