With a sick feeling that he ought to just nope the fuck out of there immediately, he applied more force in an attempt to cut through - keeping watch for spiders the whole time.

(Noping the fuck out is totally an option. We do have 2 other doors to try from the golem room, after all.)
The web strand isn't any more difficult to cut than spiderweb usually is, but there are quite a few more (to say the least) between you and the other side of the room.

That was one down. He carefully peeled it out of his way and moved to cut the next one, tense and ready to run.

(Also, my potion? Rolep made to identify it in his post. >.>)

This potion adds a regenerative factor for one hour, allowing quick healing of minor wounds, but also gives the user an immense hangover when it wears off.

One string down... looks like several thousand more to go.

He stopped for a moment and tried to look ahead through the webbing, to see if there was anything beyond worth gambling his life on.

Rolep considers the webs, and the potions in his hands. If he were higher level, he could probably make Alchemist's Fire or something, but.....hmmmm...

Arcvasti looks into the spider room before spasming away from it violently.

**Oh look. Spiders. Kill it with fire.**

He stopped for a moment and tried to look ahead through the webbing, to see if there was anything beyond worth gambling his life on.
Aside from the two doorways (and thus potential paths forward/towards freedom), there seemed to be a few, perhaps 3, small cubical boxes suspended in the webbing. They were wrapped like birthday presents.

He began to carefully cut his way toward them - assuming they weren't hanging out of reach of course. If they were, he would look instead for something he could climb on. Other than webbing.

Cutting through, thread by thread, would take a very long time. Going any faster would almost certainly result in a rain of spiders.

Serious, this is your room, you're in charge. I apparently have bug spray and matches in my pack, I wish I had remembered that earlier...

(Make sure to add everything in there to your character sheet now, so it doesn't seem too convenient later)
