"Indeed." he raises his arm- which seems to have a small computer affixed to it. "Kuraokami!"
The sound of breaking glass is heard, and a blue glow is seen around Rin. As it dies down, a man with blue skin, and a bloodstained sword is floating behind him.

"Gonna need a few more of those I think."

[SOLDIER First]

"Yeah, what's going on?
...wait, what?"

Daniel, having been quiet but steadily more confused and annoyed as time went on, finally slammed his fist into a wall to get everyone's attention.

"Alright, wait a minute. One of you two are going to explain, without all this beating around the bush bullshit, what is going on, in the time before whatever those footsteps are get here. In the meantime, we're all going to walk calmly away from it so we don't have to fucking die."

"Coward. Don't you feel this too? Blood lust can not be sated by walking away!"

Motou flips the safety catch on his model berretta and looks for the target.

"Explanations can come later. Now, we fight!"

Hadn't bothered saying much. But was rathing busy pulling out, checking and loading a pistol from her bag. "Stick with me, Cactus."

But I'd rather finish half the battle here and now by knowing more about whatever the hell's coming after us other than 'it's big'. Tanks are big. So are polar bears. You try to fight a tank the same way you would a polar bear and you're going to die messily."

"Thanatos ain't the game it used to be. For a few years after release, it was normal. Then a new company got in control, and that's when it's popularity exploded. But something else happened. The deaths, happened. Something most of the police reports don't say is that the victims were seen in the game- as themselves, not their avatars- before they died. Something happened to the game, and it's sucking people in. Most times it's brief, and nothing happens. Other times... the deaths happen."

"Well...shit. What's all this then? Wait...did you put us in the game where people are dying? We can't fight any more than they could!"

He stops, looks over at the person holding a toy gun, and the other person with a giant floating sword now, and amends his statement.

"Most of us, any way. Apparently she has magic hacking powers or something?"

"Right now, I don't think I would even care if it killed me! Don't you understand? The risk is half the fun! You can not have true excitement without risk!"

"Who cares about 'excitement'? People are dying. Do you not get that, or do you just not care?"

"Have you seen some of the enemies in this game?!

"There's a reason we asked you to the lounge. You guys can do this stuff too. Just not yet. We weren't expecting everyone to be sucked in right then. Who's been playing Thanatos?"
