Well. Way to strangle, drown and mutilate the joke, guys! Val just kind of... raised an eyebrow out of view and looked between them all. Not really used to how... held back people were in this part of the world. She almost lost that smile. But only almost.
And then she dug out that pad, again. Not going to start this conversation with a voice she could barely use. Instead, she lifted the pad looking thing. folded it out into a booklet and twisted the screen around. Boom. Turns out it's actually a really thin laptop that folds into a tablet. ...Kinda bitching. Either way, she sets it down next to her tray and stares at the screen for a moment. Before there's a beep. From then on, whenever she 'speaks' she'd just look at the tablet and... Well. If you're damn good with attetion to detail you'd notice her moving her eyes at the camera in order to 'type' with her hands free. Medical technology. Recent. And very useful.
"Oh, don't be nervous. You all look like cool people. I'm sure there's something awesome about you."
kind of awkward how she could talk while chewing on her sandwich, now. Bit wierd.
And then she used the sandwich to point at Sora "Goes double for you. I bet you're packed full of amazing. Just don't know it."
How much do you want to bet this girl was in some sort of anti-bullying initative in her old school?
