We have created a monster. When building the Dwarven Daycare, we only cared about skills of the Dwarven children.
Apparently also the animals got skills.

And now they are coming back with a vengeance.

I thought they only gain attributes. Unless they learned to learn while we weren't watching.

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

But how can you learn to learn without first learning to learn?

Oh my god how did I miss this thread the first time?

I was once followed around by a menacing llama and cavy that CONSTANTLY RESPAWNED and remained in the same arrangement each time I bumped into them.

This town had previously been attacked by a necromancer who died shortly after arriving, leaving a ton of zombies killing everyone. I helped save them and then saw the asterisk on the map. It didn't ambush me but it followed me around.

This is a exactly an old-school Disney movie.

An evil king moves in and takes over, 3-4 adorable creatures band together and go on an adventure and end up horrifically slaughtering the bad guy off screen.

Lion King, for instance.

So yeah, I once came across a town which got attacked by zombies while I was there.

I helped the townsfolk (they get listed as ally automatically when you're fighting undead with them, neat) and killed the undead.

Then I went to leave and noticed an asterisk following me.

"Oh good, more zombies, or maybe the necromancer responsible?"

*exits travel mode several times on top of the asterisk, the only thing I find is a llama and a cavy boar*

Ok, I know how to deal with this!

Problem solv- wait...

No...

Ok, that's enough, you know what? You guys can have your rotting zombie part filled mess of a creepy llama-cavy respawning town, I'm done.

The necromancer discovered how to truly make a creature immortal, but just before he could perform the ritual on himself you spawned in and killed him.

I didn't kill him!

That's what I can't figure out, necros aren't supposed to age, but just before the murderspamzombiehorde started I did see this when checking back through the logs:

He only partially died. Only you saw, and he summoned the horde to kill you. Then he was reborn, reincarnated as the immortal, unkillable, legion twin spirits or forms (far more substantial than mere bodies, creatures made form the essence of the world) of a llama and a small rodent. Now he haunts you forever, unless you run from that place, and do not attempt to figure out how he managed the dread and eldritch deed, that none may become as truly immortal and powerful as him.

And why the cavy and the llama? I guess the dude must have been senile.
