Hoping not to disturb his rescuer, the strongman politely taps the Traveler on the shoulder before softly speaking, "The little one speaks of tyrants, have they followed me to this place? Do those autocrats not know when to quit?"

"They don't know when to quit alright, but they didn't follow you here. No, from your perspective, this is a future that may or may not come to pass, many hundreds of years into the future. And it probably won't. It's one of the more ridiculous ones. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it."

No creates more essences, wincing as one detonates and causes his eyes to flash with a bright light.

"... the risks of magic. I'm blind, blast. Blast. It should wear off soon, thankfully."

Keeping his hand out, Facechewer continues to speak.

"Well, the question remains. Who is it that I remind you of, ma'am? I am fairly sure we've never met, and my work you are even less likely to be familiar with, though I admit I'd be very much flattered if you had heard of it."

No's breathing slows as he falls into an essence-making trance. Accidentally.

((I'm going to be gone for a few days soon.))

Turning away to blow a considerable amount of smoke out of his nostrils, Facechewer turns to face the woman again.

"Ah, you flatter my work with such interest. It is simultaneously my greatest pride and most considerable disappointment, a fictionalized holographic account of the infamous Purge to End Them All, as told from a Far-Empty bureaucrat's perspective. A lovely film, I thought at the time, but ultimately it proved slightly unengaging to audiences. But oh, what an experience. If you are indeed interested and not, as I suspect, merely humoring a very old man, I could tell you more. Perhaps we should sit down to speak more on this, yes? Not really a conversation to have while standing around, I would think."

"Fascinating, yes. But tell me, do you know ze local alien alien delicacies? Zese thinks are best discussed over a plate of good food, yes?"

"A plate of good food? In a place like this?" Facechewer looks around with a raised eyebrow. "Not an option, I fear. The delicacies of this place come from a dark, bleak, senseless wasteland where no form of human culinary enlightenment has managed to penetrate. You'd be better off trying to eat your own fingers, I'm afraid. Always bring your own food on trips, that's what I say about places like this, and I have unfortunately neglected to bring any. But the ambient light's favorable, so I don't see myself becoming very hungry any time soon."

He looks around for a not disagreeable-looking establishment, or perhaps a public bench. "Though of course there is no reason one cannot sit somewhere and speak without consuming terrible alien food, is there?"

"Ah, but I believe ze aliens in zis system would find it qvuite profitable to cater to ze human palette."

Indeed, looking around, there seems to be a badly misspelled sign for a "Sassige Delly" and another for a "Cafee," with a stylized Earth next to it.

"Well, that's even worse, isn't it? It's imitation human food. That's not enlightenment, that's a cargo cult if I've seen one. Simply awful, that. The misspelled sign alone hints that it's unlikely they've ever even had a human in there, let alone served them food. But if perverse curiosity has overtaken you, ma'am, perhaps these pits of despair may be worth visiting after all."

"Ah, if it's for a laugh, then I may freely indulge a visit to such a place. I only hope I can wash off the grease I'd accumulate in there, of course. Would you like to visit the Sassige Delly? Or does the Cafee with the blue-green sphere strike your fancy more?"

(And Titus picked his way through that crowd forevermore. Some say he's still pushing his way past people to this very day)

"Very well. I should think ze 'Cafee,' it seems zat more sad effort vent into ze charade."
