"Alright well, if Koi's "buying" then let's go look around for a shopping center or something."

Ah, 0.8G. A pleasure at its worst. Takes a little getting used to. But also makes one feel a little bit younger. Not quite as much as 0.7G, but definitely good enough for now. Facechewer walks up and down the nearby halls, taking in the sights.

The domed plaza seems like some combination of shopping mall and unloading area, and is filled with all sorts of aliens going about their business. Few of them look anything close to something from Earth, but in the way some of them stare at him, Facechewer can tell he somehow looks concerning. Aside from the many and colorful adverts, the decor is rather spartan, though at intervals there seem to be bioluminescent floral displays of some sort. The smells of alien foods fill the air, which range from enticing to revolting. Through the enormous window above, a huge starship maneuvering into docking position blocks about half the view, the emblem on its side looming over the plaza.

Koi can feel a general sense of apprehension from the crowd.

The different smells hit Titus hard, making his stomach growl loudly. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm famished." He moves towards the stalls and looks for the one with the most appealing food.

(I have no idea what'd be appealing to an augmented space Roman. Make something up?)

"The noble swastika," Facechewer talks at nobody in particular. "Wonder if they have the Indux here, too. Those probably aren't them, of course, but..."

Something occurs to him suddenly, and he walks back to the Traveler.

"Say, did you have any way to make sure we understand everyone's language? I think you did, but I mostly forget. Old age, you see."

The Traveler is still messing around with panel-controls in the box. "Should be automatic, now that you're with me. It's part of the box's hospitality field. You should be able to tell when someone's speaking in a different language but still understand them. It's been working amongst our group already."

"Ah, good."

With that, he goes out to find a loitering layabout alien to maybe ask it what's going on (or, rather, what it seems to be worried about in a slightly threatening manner to not seem like such an out-of-place artifact).

Titus spots a grill place where several aliens are roasting what appears to be a creature thats a mix between a boar and a slug. While the meat is off-putting purple color, the smell is heavenly. Titus orders a cut and when being asked to pay he simply points at Koi. "Just put it on that guy's tab."

The nearest suitable alien seems to be one who looks like it has a flesh-flower for a face. It responds, "Hey, I'm not looking for any trouble, Earthling. Nope. Not me."

Facechewer looks at the approaching ship, smiling a tad absently, then back at the alien.

"They're bringing in the big guns, you know. What do you think's going to happen to the... people around here?"
