Just for the record, here is a PDF copy of Japan's main gun laws. I am sure everyone is bored of the characters debating weather it is possible, and I didn't want to accuse Mistwing OOC of not knowing it. Motou was asking questions because Motou's character spouts firearms facts and nothing more  :P. If he was correct IC or not doesn't matter  :P.

Didn't see it so much as them debating weather it possible-- it obviously is or she wouldn't have one (if it's legal is a diffrent matter though)-- so much as Val answering questions.

I was actually gonna say, if you're going by IRL gun laws in Japan, don't forget this is five years in the future(2020). It's conceivable, if unlikely, that they may have changed them a bit by then.
