Well yeah! But in my experience (I know a number of people that live in Japan. Some locals, others that moved there from elsewhere) it's even worse there. Apparently you hear just about everything everyone does in school. The thing with EVERYONE talking about Rise, so anyone that didn't know who she was soon did, in persona 4? Not at all exxagerated.
