I'd like to be able to defend myself a little. But not to the level of a combat persona. So I'd like to gain combat skills eventually. For starters though, I'm more than fine with relying on attacking shadows with my weapon.

You could have 2 separate sets of skills, one for support and one for combat, if you want.

I am cool with that if that's easier for you. I'd planned to, if I got combat moves at all, really just get like 2-3 attack spells at higher levels.
Whatever works for you as a DM, though. I just don't want to overshadow the combat guys by fighting as well as they do while also knowing weaknesses and such.

Figured if I could attack it'd be kinda an extension. Like how Fuuka learned to heal eventually.
