Just made two major, time-management mistakes:

1. I finally got bored with vanilla DF and picked up the latest version of Masterwork DF (v6.2).
2. During a long world-gen, i decided to read Boatmurdered.  Now I'm interested starting a sucession game.  That's where this thread comes in  ;) .

This game will be in ye grande olde tradition of Boatmurdered (Elephants and Magma Aqueduct optional), meaning:

1.  Each overseer will have 1 week upon the start of their turn to complete 1 DF year.
2.  Each overseer must name an individual dwarf as their overseer and write all reports in character.  Yes, you DO have to write reports.  Reading them later is half the !!Fun!!
3.  No intentional murdering of past overseers.  (Locking them all in solitary confinement and giving them just enough food to stay alive (and sane) is NOT killing them...)
4.  If you have more than one turn, and your previous overseer is still alive-reuse him.  Otherwise pick one of his descendants (if possible).
5.  No Demon/Siege Atom-Smashing Hallways.
6.  No mining of adamantium or unleashing of the HFS without consent of the Council of Overseers (overseers who played either of the last 2 turns, the current overseer, and the next 3 overseers.  This is just in case the fort becomes boring and we decide we need to settle in the midst of the HFS for added challenge)
7.  IfWhen the fortress falls, the next player on the list can either reclaim it or can start a new fortress in the same world.
8.  Must use ASCII tileset for all images as its the only one we all can understand.  "Creature-specific and Item-specific" images should also be disabled.
9.  This is a dwarf game.

When you finish a turn, use dropbox (or similair) to embed a link to a .zip file containing the save in another post.  I'll copy it to here so everyone can see the current save.  (I'd say .rar but i think more people use .zip).

Current Save:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3tkp2jcfsf8mfn0/region2-spr-202.zip?dl=0

Overseers:

1. Implementor37--complete
2. Nidilap--active
3. Apani
4. Implementor37
5. AVAILABLE

(more spots available as needed)

Oh. It's a mod. Anyways, so we can play if we've never used the mod before? Also, what race will we be playing as? (Sorry for so many questions!

Ooh! Excited for this! I'd volunteer as an overseer, if I had any confidence at all in my abilities in Masterwork. Might claim a dwarf/human/bold/whatever, and maybe write logs that way, if that's allowed ^^

Sure.  That's great.  Whenever your ready, send out a dwarf embark.  You can roleplay however you want--no Masterwork skills required (and its funnier that way too. XD)  And yes, ASCII is the default tileset (the one vanilla DF uses).  You might have to flip a Masterwork setting to make sure, otherwise i could email you the world I've already generated.

Wait! I didn't want to be an overseer! I just wanted to claim one of the characters and make side journals just reacting to stuff that happened!

Sorry for the confusion! ^^;

EDIT: I mean, maybe at some point I may do a year, but trust me: you do NOT want me as first overseer. The few games I've played on my own rarely make it to the end of winter, I suck at it >.<
I'd rather wait until I've played some more and get the hang of it. END EDIT.

I hope this gets going :)  Although I can follow ASCII, I can't play without a tileset (spoiled :-[).

Wait, just noticed i'm on the list. If no one else volunteers to go first i can. But only if no one else wants to. Because i can tell my turn will be lots of FUN.

If you really don't want to go first, I guess I could go.  The first year is (usually) pretty slow, but we'll see about that!  I would need to know any embark location requests?  And i would need to know how to get pictures from my computer uploaded as part of my journal--they make everything look so much nicer...

Well, honestly, i don't care where you embark as long as it has no aquifer and atleast one underground soil layer. And for pictures, if your using a windows eight computer then you can use the Snipping tool or if you can do Print screen and if you need to crop it paste it in paint and crop it there.

And if you edit what we embark with include turkeys.

All right, I'm starting the fortress with a modified embark (the Engineers + a few random animals (sorry, turkeys weren't available so i brought some frill lizards and boulder crabs instead)).  I've taken pics of everything (using the Snipping Tool), but can't figure out how to get them from a folder on my computer to my forum posts.  I can take them, just not show them to you apparently.  If you can help figure this out, I'll post my first update soon enough.

You have to upload them to imgur (Or something like it) Then right click it, press "Copy image URL" Then make your post, click on the "Insert Image" button, and put the think you just copied in between the [Image][Image/]
