Head to that door and open it.

This door reveals a hall continuing east and it again stops at a closed door.
Open the door.

Opening this door reveals 3 different directions one could take. You can go north or south or continue east, where yet another closed door is.

Northward you go and the hall turns to a door on the western side.

Open it.

You open this door and see that there is a room with two doors going both north and west. You are able to see this quite well considering there is a hostile Fire elemental charging at you whom is also kind enough to light this room.

Please don't double post, OP. Usually it's not a big deal, but you've been doing it a lot, so I figure you're unaware of the rule.
Sorry I must have over looked it. I will from here cease to do so.

I just looked over the forum guidelines but I failed to find any rule or mention of double posting. Is there another section I am missing where it is regarded?
Why not double post? It doesn't seem like a very big deal, but I may be missing it.
((The unwritten rule on message boards. :P If you have something to add to a post, you ought to take advantage of the edit function. Not all boards have it but this one does. In some places there are guidelines enforcing this but B12 doesn't have an official rule against it, so no worries, you could only get in trouble for it if you seemed like a spammer (you don't). DPing isn't harmful AFAIK, but most people, including me, don't approve of it anyway because it's so common to avoid doing it. In fact, most apologize for DPing. You don't have to listen if you don't wanna, just giving a heads up that some other people can take it far more seriously than I do.))

((Some friendly tips for running games in FG&RP that will make your game more attractive to play: it would be helpful if you marked the actual game posts to make for easier reading. It's impossible to tell at a glance what's talk and what's game since some people aren't using OOC marks. You also ought to have an inventory spoiler under each game post so we know what the main character is carrying, so you don't need to read back to know what the players' have got at hand. And if you want anybody to sign up for your game at all, you've got to have a character sheet spoiler in the OP.))

((They can typically look something like this:))
Spoiler: Character Sheet (click to show/hide)

((Everyone knows instantly what it means, that's going to ensure you at least get a few posts.))

I don't believe we're armed for this kind of combat, and we're a thief besides, so let's flee.

I hope no one minds if I dp when there is several things that need to be quoted that are of separate matters. Otherwise i will do my best to avoid dping.

How do I use OCC marks? Is it a different font?

As for a character sheet and inventory spoiler, I am almost certain I made one for either my first or second post.

((You attempt to flee the fiery beast by slamming the door closed. Success! The Fire elemental seems to scratch at the door for a moment, but seems to lack the ability or know how as to operate a basic door hinge. And now you are standing back outside with a path leading south as well as the door east. You can also always go back whence you came via the open door south west. Or if you are feeling lucky enough, try your hand at the door where the narrow space between it and the floor grows a faint red glow.))

This is also a good time for me to briefly explain how fleeing works. Its based on speed. If your enemy has a higher speed than you, the difference is added to a d20 roll. Same goes for if your speed was higher. I always roll for the player first for the flee attempt, as no matter what, a 20 is an automatic success regardless of the enemies roll.

(( Double brackets are generally accepted to indicate OOC. ))

As for double posting... for different topics I'd generally use

-----

to separate them, and OOC marks if required for one section.

Course, that's preference there.

Double brackets it is. I will also put it in italics I think just for a little extra.

And without further delay the game shall continue (please see the end of my previous post once it is edited).

If you edit, most people usually put an EDIT: or E: to indicate new content.

EDIT: Like so.

EDIT2: Oh, and I just noticed. Wait a bit for more input from other players before making a new turn. So far it's been you and DigitalDemon going back and forth. Some suggestions for game-types that work well like that; minimalist RTDs. Easy to manage, wacky, and you don'thave to wait too much because it doesn't really matter.

Thanks for the example. I kind of like the first come first serve basis for this game. If its just one person, so be it, but anyone may join. Speaking of which . . .

((You take deep breath turn slowly and walk to the door holding back the Fire elemental and turn the hinge. The beast is ready to pounce.))

Slam the door in his face and leave the way we came.

You successfully slam the door in the nick of time to once again conseal the firey being in the room and turn around.

((By leave the way you came, do you mean leave the dungeon all together, or just from that area?))
