Theoretically..
« on: June 21, 2015, 10:04:03 am »

With the tavern update and "concentrations" of syndromes. I do believe it would then be 100% possible to implement a Lovecraftien sanity system into the game via modding without dfhack... what do you guys think..

IIRC currently there are only madness cause by some extreme conditions, so no Lovecraftien type "stage of insanity" now.

Next version has personality-affecting syndromes, so yeah, it should be possible.

I'm going to have so much fun with the succubi using mood changing syndromes. One day you are berserk, next day you are...

The "insanity",l will of course be "fake", but It is much more "fake-able" now, as in I could make it so seeing too many eldritch creatures can effect your personality, and other things.

The new update has syndromes where you can either choose to have them begin and end abruptly or gradually.  You could easily make a syndrome which gradually increases into outright madness with no end once the update hits.
