I think my character's background works with Chicago the most of all the suggestions. I suppose we could have traveled west for a holiday in Vancouver, though. uhhh, it'd mean bringing the wife and daughters though. It's somewhat more challenging to see him there for work - I think he's more blue collar than white collar, so, unless he traveled with his construction company, it'd be awkward.

Alright, for the PNW I suppose we've got a choice between Vancouver (BC), Portland OR (Which also covers Vancouver WA), and Seattle WA.

My character would have started somewhere near Thunderbay, but he's been travelling across Southern Canada and Northern USA for about a decade, so it seems reasonable he could end up in any of those places by now. So no preference.

Mine would have started somewhere in New York State, but she didn't really care where she was running, so anything works with her.

"That's a taxi, of course. We're going gator watching out in the swamp. that's our ride."
