I always took that to mean that you can't take advantage of the Church by attacking it, capturing cities/spaceships, and then asking for peace. Or researching proscribed tech and striking it as soon as you see inquisitors above your worlds.

In this case, I don't know why we're at war. There's nothing I did that could be considered sinning.
Since this appears to be some random bug, I'd like to be allowed to sue for peace immediately.
Retaking any of my cities captured due this turn by the rampaging clergymen should not, in my admittedly not unbiased opinion, be considered sinning either.

Well, all hell has broken loose!!! Apparently, the Church is tired of petulant nobles infringing on their holy lands.  This last turn the Church not only declared war on the Al-Malik, but also the Hawkwoods and the Merchant League. Two Hawkwood nobles were murdered I don't know if that is related to the attack by the Church. They razed the Agora on Holy Terra so if you want to still trade with the Merchant League I advise everyone to put troops around your Agoras.  I will write some details shortly.

And Il Palazzo, I think your sin was settling Pyre in the first place. haha  You can sue for peace if you want to but I think they are just going to attack you again.  Have fun with that! haha  I stick with my original thoughts either 5 Turns or 3 Turns not 1 Turn this isn't a bug because you are not the only one affected.

Emperor Wars is not Nova or the Original EFS don't expect the Church and the League to just co-exist passively until you attack them if they see a Noble House as a threat they will act.

I can roll with it. I don't see how that's not a bug, however.

Three simultaneous attacks is not a bug.

IMPERIAL EYE ANNUAL REPORT

The Imperial Eye is pleased to report a complete planetary survey of Madoc continues and the results have been transmitted to the envoys of the Five Great Noble Houses.

Under contract with the Scravers Guild on Madoc we have leased the mineral rights to one additional mining facilities, and rebels on Tethys have seized an Imperial Eye mining facility.

Imperial Eye Operatives and Assets continue to return to Byzantium Secundus on a monthly base to report to Imperial Eye Headquarters for debriefing.

TURN SENT

Duke Flavius Li Halan rubbed his temple in irritation as the Archbishop of Kish lectured him on the mandate issued by Patriarch Leopold VII regarding the immediate expulsion of Al-Malik, Hawkwood, and League influences from planets under the protection of the Universal Church of the Celestial Sun.

The Inquisitional Synod of Pyre had lobbied more fervently in recent years for the Patriarch to be more proactive in rooting out heretical ideologies and nobles that tolerated the Merchant League's republican tendencies.

"Well, the damned Al-Malik has given them what they wanted." Duke Flavius thought as the Archbishop prattled on quoting some passage from Omega Gospels.

The Al-Malik's audacity to establish an estate on a planet surrounded by flamethrower wielding fanatics, "What did they think would happen?"

This combined with his friend Alvarex Hawkwood's decision to send the Imperial Fleet to Pentateuch to maintain a peaceful cohabitation of that planet with the Hazat, Flavius knew that there were those in the Synecullum that poisoned the Patriarch's mind by reporting to him that this was simply a move by the Regent to expand his secular influence over that world.

And the League, as if the Church needed any reason to go to war with them.  The last time this happened the Li Halan was dragged into the conflict and although they liberated Rampart from the Merchant League they lost Malignatius to a treacherous Decados invasion of that frozen planet while Li Halan forces were diverted to the Rampart front.

"Lord Flavius?" said the Archbishop.

"Yes..." replied Flavius as he was startled out of his train of thought.

"What shall I communicate to the Patriarch regarding your commitment to this holy crusade?" asked the Archbishop.

"Tell his eminence that the forces of the Li Halan always stand ready to defend our Mother Church, but let him know that we will need time to consolidate our fleet and holy warriors." said Flavius.

"As you wish, my lord." the Archbishop replied then bowed and turn to the leave the Duke's presence.

"Yes time...time to sort this whole damned mess out before anymore unnecessary blood was shed." Flavius thought as he returned to rubbing his temple.

He turned to his court scribe and said, "Contact my war ministers, Baroness Cassandra Li Halan, and Ambassador Wei Lan tell them the Court Council will convene in one hour..."

Yes, there is a .dat file that defines the parameters of when the Church or League will engage both AI and non AI players.

So are we officially returning back to comatose mode with this game?  I am just going to refrain from checking this board until I get my next turn.

Oh joyous of news. I have much, much, more to say on this matter but I figure I should look at my turn before I do.

In the meantime, until we get this ball rolling again, enjoy this little counter. I'll try and update it every once and awhile.

I hope this trend of dead Hawkwoods stops.

How many nobles each House has? Is there any way to acquire more?
Also, the turn seems to be stuck again. :(

Any progress with the turn?
I wouldn't want Vertab's crying doom and gloom to turn out prophetic.
