Turn sent.

Newspaper "Pravda" is the most popular source of news on the Decados worlds. The last issue has reached the peak sales - since it has many important political articles.

Page 7-9, The Shadow Over Severus.
This article uncovers the mystery over Severus blockade. Author states that the reason of quarantine was the invasion of alien race in the jungles of the south hemisphere. Using the current empire instability they gathered warriors from subterranean lairs and seized control of the most human cities in the hemisphere. A few remaining villages under Decados reign are now greatly fortified and are relatively safe. A few battle groups are formed and soon they will clean the jungles of the invaders. To aid in this mission Vladimir Decados invited his old allies - battle brothers of De Moley. They have already dropped their elite space legions and now they are seeking through the region to find and banish alien invaders.

Very good roleplaying, and for clarification the aliens on Severus are the indigenous insectoid alien race the Ascorbite that usually work with the Decados but sometimes strike out when their jungle habitat are infringed upon.  So, technically the humanity was the alien invaders on Severus. haha  :D

Those Ascorbites are so intimidating in warfare! They never strike large stacks, but often go after small weak parties. They have nice stealth and very good battle stats. It is very hard to catch them in the jungles, but it easy to walk into their ambushes. The only hope is my great battleship, but it also has other targets and it appears to be very hard to bombard something in the dense jungle.

Regency Election and Promising Ministries

Everyone, I completely forgot to bring this up earlier but their is a hard coded bug regarding promising ministries for votes.

If you promise someone a Ministry it has to be a verbal/written agreement, because in previous PBEM games if a Regent promises a ministry but wants to change it after a future election the Ministry is locked in to whomever they originally promised it too.  However, ever you can promise your votes to a house their is no bug in that feature.

This inadvertently adds an additional level to in game diplomacy .

Margrave was this in our original House Rules?

That was a rough one.

Let it be known that the Hawkwood have purchased land on the tempestuous Eskatonic world of Pentateuch with the specific intention of exploiting newly discovered resources scoured from the deep earth by the now infamous and furious storms that plague the populace there.

No, I didn't even know about it, but it certainly will be now.

It's on. I had a unit or two starve into the plague. Briefly.

In EotFS the spaceships are navigated by computers like IRL and most SF or by psionics like in Duna?

An update on the alien ruins bug - apparently how this works is the following: if there's one alien ruin with 'a concerned warlock' that gives you 3 tech without fighting, then all the alien ruins you explore on that turn will have the same effect. You need to check the database in one of your labs after each such encounter, else all but the first 3 are lost.
The next turn you load, the ruins are reset, and you might encounter the regular alien/plague bonanza we all love very much.

A question on plague bombs - I've just found one in a rebel city on Criticorum and bombed it to death. I could see no yellow asterisks indicating infection afterwards. Does it mean bombing the bombs is safe, or is there simply a one turn delay before the outbreak?

You'd see it immediately if it happened.

They use computers with that activate jumpgates that were left by an ancient race the Annanuki in each star system they visited before they disappeared from the Galaxy, the jumpgates create wormholes between the star systems.  The planets in the Known Worlds is not all of the planets in a particular star system just the habitable ones.

Yes, bombardment is the only way to keep a plague bomb from spreading.  Direct attack by land forces is what releases the plague.

Request to Purchase Holy Relics

The Most Honorable Duke Flavius of the House Li Halan entreats the members of the other noble houses to consider selling any most Holy Relics they may have recovered in their journeys throughout the Known Worlds.  Such sacred artifacts are very precious to the Li Halan and their worth is immeasurable.  Lord Flavius will pay in Golden Firebirds, Knowledge, or Gems whichever form of payment befits the station of my most honorable noble cousins.  Should you consider his offer please send an envoy to our Embassy on Byzantium Secundus with your proposal.

I am curious how the scouting works. My stealth ships are roaming over the whole universe collecting information for my house. For some reason i can sometimes see ships of other fractions without having presence in the system. Do i get right that once i scout one of the opponent ships i will have information about it presence until it moves to another system?

Yes, you see what you last saw in that system until you return to that system again or maintain a permanent scout there.
