((Hazat, Turn 20))

Some excerpts from this year's special "Year in Review" edition of

LA GARRA
All the news that's fit (and authorized) for print

Tithing Pains: The League and Church descend together on Aragon to bombard the innocent people of the Hazat.  Planetary space defense are able to destroy all attackers, then secure the Aragon orbit.

I Would Gladly Pay You Tuesday for a Bombing Run Today: The Patriarch deploys bombers on Vera Cruz, then ships in Moneylenders in a desperate attempt to claw away at Hazat holdings.  The Hazat easily stop the attack with bombers of their own.

Hawkwood? Hawk-ptooey!  A Hawkwood emissary sends a request for 1 Firebird to the Castle Aragon, enraging the heads of the Royal Treasury with the idea of Hazat being a tributary of that house.  Calmer heads prevail when it is discovered that the letter is actually an invitation to see the Hawkwood Royal Firebirds, one of the House's great cultural accomplishments to be sure.  (Or at least, that's the leading theory.  The Hawkwood couldn't be so stupid as to make an unprovoked demand as such, could they?)

League Bulk Haulers

OOC: Just an FYI if you are at war with the League by all means destroy every League Warship you see, but please avoid destroying unloaded League Bulk Haulers and Freighters the AI sends them around the jumpweb to replenish the Agoras, let's all not try to completely collapse our interstellar economies.

Imperial Eye Annual Report
« Reply #424 on: September 22, 2015, 10:47:45 am »

IMPERIAL EYE ANNUAL REPORT

The Imperial Eye is pleased to report a complete planetary survey of Tethys has begun however at the request of the Regent Alvarex Hawkwood those topographical reports have been deemed classified in the name of Imperial Fleet security.

Under contract with the Scravers Guild on Madoc we have leased the drilling rights to one additional oil rig, and the construction of  2 additional starports and 2 additional manufacturing facilities have been completed.  The Merchant League has been compensated 25,000 firebirds for these additional land purchases.

Through Imperial negotiations with the Vau Hegemony the Imperial Eye has expanded its operations on Apshai with 2 new starports and 2 new manufacturing facilities.  Thanks to a hefty gift of 80 precious gems from House Li Halan this purchase was made possible.

Also, the Imperial Eye has constructed additional mining facilities on the Imperial Worlds of Nowhere and Tethys.

The Director is also happy to announce the christening of the first Imperial Internal Security Fleet consisting of 1 Dreadnaught, 4 Cruisers, 1 Frigate, and 2 fighters.  This Fleet will be used in the efforts to suppress rebel activity in the Empire, enforce embargoes, and enforce treaties between inter-house conflicts.

Lastly, the Imperial Eye Compound on Holy Terra remains under siege by the Holy Terra Home Guard, however, in a daring raid Imperial Eye Security forces were able to capture a Phlogiston Class Battleship from Church forces and it is now safely in orbit above Pentateuch.

New Imperial Dreadnaught for Emperor Wars Update
« Reply #425 on: September 23, 2015, 09:47:50 am »

I haven't done an update to the Emperor Wars Mod is almost 9 months and I was working on some additions I found this cool image I hadn't found before, and I am going to incorporate in the next update.  I thought about naming it the "Emperor" Class Dreadnaught.  "Vladimir" would have been cool but it has already been taken the Vanilla EFS Cruiser class.  Any suggestions for another name.

I've always been partial to slapping on Latin names for ships so the Imperator class would be cool. But then again I am a nerd.

Also would be okay if we PM'd you suggestions for the next update?

Why don't you give this image to all named capital ships in game? Like Church Phlogiston, Decados Nickolas and others.

That is a good idea, I will have to find a clean way to place the Church and Decados logo on it though.

Turn sent.

announces the building of a palace on the glorious world Manitou! From now this world will be shown as Decados on all imperial maps!

However Vau reject this announcement and don't consider us as the true rulers of the world. The negotiations have been already conducted but so far they were fruitless.

As i understand our rulers were not covering the palace building? I haven't find any entry about it.

Additional House Rule:

This will mainly apply to the Li Halan and Decados, but I think if we build a palace on Vril-ya, Shaduveen, Manitou, or Apshai we have to declare war on the Vau by attacking one of their cities.  Since, I like to focus on the roleplaying aspect of EFS, I don't like the fact they those two houses can came Vau worlds without consequences.  This does not mean we cannot build resource cities we just can't claim the world outright without fighting the Vau.  This doesn't apply to the Al-Malik or Hawkwoods with the Symbiot worlds since they will be in a constant state of conflict they can and should be able to build or palaces on them at anytime in the game.

Everyone in agreement with this additional house rule?

I can agree to that. Perhaps we should expand that to both the League, Church and Ministry worlds. Its not particularly believable that any of the NPC factions would allow House settlers without some sort of payment or open war.

Although judging from what little lore I know the Vau actually seem okay with settlers at least on anything that isn't Shaduveen and the Embassy world. I could be wrong.

Also on ruins, no frigging wonder the Church/League/Rebels were constantly fighting each other last game. Its only a matter of time now.

Apparently, only I and Margrave signed off on this rule.  What do rest of you want to do?  Personally, I am fine now if the Decados want to claim Manitou.

((i think i'm in favor of this rule, but if it didn't get approved before it's hardly fair to enforce it in retrospect.  i'd prefer war be required but i won't hold you to it!))
