Turn Sent
There's nothing quite like fighting an invasion that's already there.

"MURDER!"
The accusation echoed among the muted and dim opulence of the throne room of the Imperial Palace. A storm battered against ceramsteel reinforced glass outside, within the atmosphere reflected the tormented weather.
Struggling against members of the Imperial Guard holding him back, the Elector Faustus Hawkwood turned and shouted across the court at the Orthodox Archbishop Palamon, "I cannot believe that the Patriarch could ever justify this crime! A crusade? This is nothing more than theft that would shame a Scraver! You call the murder of two of my kin a holy act? The Pancreator damn you for what you've done!"
The guardsmen roughly escorted the furious nobleman out from the crowded court, filled with representatives assembled to hear the Archbishops proclamation from Holy Urth. Once the noise had subdued to excited whispers Palamon respectfully dipped his head to the man sitting to the right of the most powerful seat in all the Known Worlds and quietly said, "I thank you Lord Regent for ending his interruption of the Patriarchs decree."
Eyes reduced to hateful slits, Alvarex Hawkwood coldly replied, "Sir Erasius was my cousin, spit it out already."
The Archbishop quickly stiffened as Alvarex continued," It will be difficult to keep the peace even with a centuries old edict against open combat here on Byzantium. Fear not, the Church is safe here."
As the Church delegate turned and continued his speech to the crowd, Alvarex cruelly smiled and whispered to himself, "But nowhere else."

Let it be known that the Patriarch has seen fit to sully the pious position as Spiritual Head of the Empire and abused the trust of the Noble Houses of Hawkwood and al-Malik as well as the merchants of the League. He has cowardly used Inquisitors and Brother Battle to seize lands inhabited by the people of House Hawkwood for generations and there will be no peace until these lands are reclaimed. We will defend ourselves against this wretched tyrant and any further attacks he makes against us.
