I hate to drag the first turn like this, but it seems that I won't be able to do my turn today either. Apologies.

(( I Have a question for Vertab Nukks. You said that NPC Rebels do not respawn...is that also true for that Zombie Apocalypse Fortress on the Decados World? I played around with it a bit and either there are a fuckload of units there or they spawn ever more...i tried turning that hornets nest into an ashpile but all i got for my troubles were plague zombies and then suddenly Spore Ships and...well i stopped right after my fleet got vanquished by spawning spore ships...

Haha, they shouldn't respawn but I might have accidentally set those Zombies as Symbiots instead of Rebels and thus you get Spore Ships,  I will fix that in my next update of the game.

I cannot find the information on how combat works in this mod.

From what little I saw of it, it looks like there are no immunities to any types of attacks? Direct can hit infantry, close can hit tanks etc? And you can bombard (F)oot units from space? I saw you can use torpedo bombers to fly around on the surface, but they don't seem to be treated like air units (can be hit by other that Air attack).
Or is it generally everything hits everything, with the possible exception of air?

Also, the terrain costs look different from Nova. Any chance for a comprehensive chart of movement cost vs type?

There should be something on the web for how the combat works and movement cost all of that is the same as the Reality Mod, the Space Bombers  now enter the atmosphere is new I added that but I can't remember if I left out air combat because it was buggy or I just forgot to add it, something I will need to test in a future update :D

Well, I am glad you like it, it was supposed to work that way, but the spore ships wasn't intentional.  ;D

Here is the link to the Reality website, and below is all the author wrote about the combat.

https://sites.google.com/site/efsreality/home

·         Improving the combat.

The standard Planetside attack modes in EFS are Indirect, Air, Direct, Close, and Psi. In the Vanilla version, a lot of units are able to attack in many of these modes. Also, many unit types were immune to some combat types to balance this. I have taken the steps to allow most units to be hit by combat modes that make sense, and then balanced that off by reduceing most units abilities to deal damage in multiple modes.

By reducing attack modes for units and reducing the power of base units like artillery, the game now rewards Hi-tech, diverse armies. You can also occasionally exploit an enemy stack that is missing a key ingredient (like anti-Air).

With Vertab's permission, I've setup a small thing that he was nice enough to type for us in game so everybody else could see.

Nice, I will probably want to reference that later.

TURN SENT

As I am traveling, I once again needed to get EFS working on my Ubuntu Netbook, which posed only some difficulty. I did discover what could be the cause of the Reality Mod crash, experienced by some of our prospective players: a file case-sensitivity issue. Depending on your extraction method "agility.dat" may not replace "AGILITY.DAT", for instance, which of course leads to crashes when one tries to run the mod. I guess now we know for posterity.

Margrave, very awesome thanks for putting these together.  Would you mind if I posted these on the Emperor Wars Mod website when I get a chance?  I think it would be a great tool for newbies.  I didn't write and geography lesson in this last turn because of time, but I will put something together about the League next turn.

Also, awesome how you matched up the corresponding Knights that protect each order (St. Yara for Almatheans, Adamantine for Eskatonics) the Swords of Lexitus protect the Orthodoxy they are nobles & knights that give up their land and title to serve the Church, St. Yara don't use weapons are are like Buddhist Monks with Kung Fu, and Admantine Order are knights that want to learn Theurgy in exchange for their service,  also the Moneylenders seem odd to people as being a Brother Battle Order but they exist because the Church denounces the usury of the League Loans and people that want to keep their money safe but not get interest on it put it in the vaults of the Brother Battle Moneylenders on De Moley who protect it and are paid a fee which they use to maintain the order and administer to the poor.

Go nuts, it's fine by me. And don't worry about churning out info every turn, I know what a pain it can be to type out all that straight through the messenger. For me I can't use the letter S or C because it cancels or sends the message regardless.

Maybe they were future nukes? Let's just blame the Vau. That's what I do whenever I hit a bug or screw up a battle.
