IC Thread

I was thinking of starting up a new Yugioh RP.  I've got a few ideas on how to run it differently so that it can be kept running, one of which being to have, during duels, NPCs being controlled by two random other players, with the selected one action by the person being randomly selected between the two.  If I use this, I could join myself (someone else controlling the RNG for myself and contacting relevant players what the cards are whenever I am dueling.)

As for the premise for the game, all characters of the players would be new to the game, and have gone to a tournament that utilizes a modified Draft format (uses three card limit and lists, with all other rules applying), with the time period having the cards being from series 2 of the card game.  As the game progresses, more and more sets would start to crop up, allowing for a progression of slow tweaks to each player's strategies as time goes on.  I would be using forbidden/limited/semi-limited lists as they would have been at the time of those sets being released.

Yes and no.  I won't be exactly Japan as I don't know all too much about their culture, so there will likely be a fair amount of inconsistencies.

The first (non-Toei) Anime series was made during the first three series of Booster Packs.

So this will play by the real-life cards?

Real-life versions of the cards, but with the manga/anime's setting.

Cards with the name "Millennium" on them are in non-standard packs, so I don't think you'll have an ability to get them as I will likely miss them.

Name: Nori Chiasa, in our gross first-name-first way of speaking.
Age: 8 26 15.
Appearance: Her blue-gray hair reaches just below her shoulder blades in the back, while it covers her ears on the sides and often gets into her eyes, although she adamantly refuses to shorten it anywhere. Rather plain-looking, light-brown eyes peek out occasionally.
Backstory: An avid player of games, reader of books, and possessor of child-inappropriate language, Nori had actually stayed out of the realm of Duel Monsters for a long time. Eventually around the age of twelve, her cousin convinced her to duel him once, with the promise of a deck of her own preceding the duel. She almost beat him, if he hadn't used that damn super-powerful summon he had (she set up a plan to counter it, but he countered that and won), but even so, she was hooked. Of course, her cousin could have given her more than just a few spare booster packs for a deck, but she can't complain. Especially not three years later...
