Have one of the two new guys get some reeds from the pond.

Have the other one work on making a knife and an adze head from the stone via knapping.

Have Gideon make a handle for the adze head, and a fishing rod. If he can, make a loom. Or just a spinning wheel, rather,
 actually.

Well the.

Oi, new guy, start transferring wood and fruits to the cavemouth.

Gidion, that's enough refining. Make seven spearheads.

Woodsmen, finish refining and transfer your wood to the cave mouth.

Scouter. Harvest as many berries and fruits as you can.

Keep digging Digger. Dig a trench towards the water.

Miner, keep mining.

Adze head?

We're nearing the building phase, door/spears first. Don't need fish yet with all the fruit. We will in time though.

Crude knife comes after door.

Whatcha gonna make the door with, eh?

Also, google exists for a reason. If you can't figure something out after googling it, then you ask people. Adze is a woodworking tool.

I think it'd be better to have food than a door. Door to what, exactly? What are we keeping safe that's in danger? Why do we need spears?

Having participated in similiar games before, some of us have a bad premonition about nightfall. As in, enemies coming to rustle our feathers.

Not sure if it was going to be a thing, but since we already seem to be preparing towards it, chances are quite high that it is going to be a thing. /snark-on "Good work, guys! /snark-off ;o

Joke aside - A few spears will insure us against all but the most horribly of night horrors, and will be use-able for hunting / hostile fisticuffs that are bound to appear either way, so it's not like we are wasting any efforts here.

If all else fails, we can make a trap by hanging them from Gregory.

Turn: 8

The settlers have decided to call the sphere the Mitosphere. A fitting name.

The new settler immediately goes to harvest reeds. A born worker.

His other self grabs some stone and wood to craft a stone knife.

Gideon puts his carpentry skills to work and begins construction of a simple spinning wheel.

A woodcutter has finished the fallen log and helps other refine the tree.

The digger trenches south.

The miner has found some kind of metal.

Ooh, metal.

Miner keep mining.

Woodcutters keep woodcutting.

Gideon make some spear shafts.

Reed guy bring them back and begin working on spear heads.

Knap guy continue making knife.

Uh...digger keep digging? Not sure why he's digging but okay.

Not much else to say, really.

Woodcutters are refining currently. We don't need more cut trees. Once they finish and refine, they'll be assigned to other stuff with greater importance. Such as constructing a smelter for that metal or scouting.

Digger is digging a trench to the water. The reason for this is so it's a shorter distance to acquire water and on top of that, doubles as a moat.

Based on how a wheel was made without nails from boards that aren't proportioned for wheel making, I'm gonna say a wooden door likely works. And if not, we can make stone/wood stakes as crude nails.

Otherwise +1.

No reason to make simple tool components separately. Unless of course you want just spear heads or shafts in stock. Then it'd take another turn to combine.

So you can just say make a spear or sword or w/e and the settler will grab the necessary materials to craft it.

Barrels are made without nails. Wooden pegs are useful that way.

Though I did find it odd he didn't need a knife or anything to make them.

And yes, refining woodcutting whatever. I said continue. As in doing whatever they were doing.

Not sure how you plan on smelting that metal though, considering we have nothing to put it in, and no blast furnace or anything if it's one of the harder to smelt metals. I figured we'd just heat it up and start using a big rock as an anvil to pound it into a vaguely useful shape.

Dunno if there's gonna be enough water for that, by the way.

We should do some more scouting soon.

I said it mostly because the reeds guy can combine them while the others are doing other things, and because 1 settler can probably make 1 or 2 spears a turn at most, while if they all work seperately then combine them production line style it should be a bit faster in terms of Settler-Turns spent.

Not to mention spear shafts occasionally break. Always good to have backup shafts.

Building a smelter out of rocks is what I'm thinking. It was done in medieval times. Can be done here.

And we can use the pegs for the door also~

I know. I'd been mostly referring to not having a knife for a woodworking tool when I was talking about that. Although I don't see where we're gonna get and/or attach hinges. I suppose they could be wood, but that swells up when it gets wet and...well...yeah. But if Gideon only needs a hammer...eh.

Still good to have a knife though.

Spinning wheel is mostly to turn that white stuff into either cloth, rope, or string.

Wood hinges work at first, but we can replace them with better ones later.
