Re: [Experimental] Question: Find your inner child
« Reply #195 on: August 09, 2015, 10:10:18 am »

Exit the airplane, and continue searching for a first-aid kit.

While being in complete darkness you succesfully dodge all organs on the floor and slide down into the tunnel outside, hoping to find something useful.

[Search: 5] All you find is a lonely shoe. There's nothing that can help you.

"Fitz my boy.. don't eat this stuff yet..."

Examine the moss, anything special about it? Also, try clearing some of it away and look for a tunnel or something that is causing the extra light to show.

Besides the fact that it glows which is quite special already? Let's see.

New skill: Botany: [6] Specialist.
No. So fucking useless.

[Search: 2] After scraping moss off on random spots you find nothing but rock. "I smell a mystery" as Fitzgerald would say while urinating on wall. Or "You are so fucking blind" to quote Wilson.

"This is one blinged-out tunnel. Damn!"

Scratch at a golden vein with a covered finger (wrap it in my sleeve). See if anything comes off. Then take a look around the corner.

Nope, nothing comes off. You need something harder than your finger if you want to mine this bling.

After the corner tunnel continues another 20 meters before making turn to left. Unable to hold curiosity you hobble forwards to see what's behind that corner. You see the tunnel continuing straight another 20 meters and ends in darkness. The glowing moss stops growing a bit before the darkness begin and tunnel edges seems to turn outwards, as if opening into side of mountain or something. However total darkness beyond that makes it impossible determine further details from here.

"H-hey wait up!  You wouldn't leave someone alone to die, would you?"

Run after the light source.

They did. They really did leave you behind. What bastards. You use your laptop as a lamp and make your way into the tunnel they went to. After few sharp turns you find Joe scraping glowing moss off from floor and his dog pissing on walls. Muscle monk is nowhere in sight.

Yeah, you see same stuff as they did; glowing moss, insects, veins of pure gold on walls, mysterious ambient light and all that.

"I found one o' them natural sources of darkness down this way! Anybody got a light?" Brother Marcel calls out behind, presumably to Joe and Fitzgerald.

Get Joe and his handy illuminating friend Wilson to follow me down this ominous tunnel and provide some lighting.

If he doesn't want to, though try to harvest some luminescent moss to help light the way.

"Wilson?  Who's-" the eunuch started, before realizing the man seemed to be talking to a rock.

I should probably just give this guy some space.  He could be like an unstable, poorly partitioned hard drive.  You never know.

Follow "Wilson" and the man carrying him.  Keep a look out for dangerous wildlife.

Quote from: Kevak
Too much inactivity.
In the airplane Sir Lucifer cluches his chest and falls on his side with glassy eyes. Too bad, I wanted to know what he would do, but I can't let inactive players hog spots.

Ok, Character sheet:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((Hmm, such a youngster... It is almost pity to throw him into this but then again he's not the only one.))

Sonny: "I don't know; maybe this isn't such a good idea."
It: Maybe

Right after receiving the response the airplane around you ceased to be. The seat you were sitting on remained, but rest of the airplane disappeared. Your new surroundings seems to be brightly lit underground chasm. Just one meter wide and ten times as tall, straight as arrow.

Floor is asphalt covered in glass shards, enough so that you should look at where you step. You also see series of human foot prints embedded into the asphalt, as if extremely heavy person walked here when asphalt was laid or it was extremely soft by then. Foot tracks lead to darkness where tunnel ends about 50 meters ahead.

COntinue to crawl through the cave, in search of any medicinal herbs for the rattlesnake poison.

You crawl until you hit water, probably the cave with trains. As far as you can remember, this area had only trees and not a single other plant.
[Botany: 4] Ebony, persimmon and olive trees if you remember correctly.

"Wilson! What's gotten into you? What's with the tude?"

Follow Brother Marcel down the tunnel.

Once again Wilson keeps his secrets. He's hoarder of secrets. You follow the monk.

And you follow him.
[Zoology: 2] Eh, some flys and beetles can be dangerous, but you have no idea if these are any of those. Better play it safe.

Joe and the fat man Eddie both come. Then you three step forward into darkness.

The darkness turns out to not be a tunnel of any kind, but rather a quite massive cave. Probably, it's hard to tell when you can't really see edges. The ground goes downwards in such angle that Brother Marcel would rather have assistance in descending it or take it real slow. Not far to your left you see entrance to a bright chasm. Few other spots of light in distance in strictly rectangular shape hints presence of other tunnels.

However the most interesting thing is what you see in approximate center of the area. A city block. Single city block half kilometer away, surrounded by roads and lighted by street lights. All buildings, typically upper-lower class apartment houses, have lights as well. On the roads you can see fuman figures in groups and few running arround erratically.
Not far from it is well illuminted farm on shore of what might be a small lake or pond.

"I didn't expect this... " Joe glances over at the chasm of light and squeals in delight "...Wilson! I think me found your homeland! Lets go- Hmm... Fitzingstein, do you want to come with us? I'm not sure where the other two are going, but perhaps you should go with the Brother if he is not going to the chasm with us. It's always useful to have a king such as yourself kept close...." He glances at Brother Marcel and says "Where are you heading off to brother? I think those people in the city are just playing ultimate frisbee or something.. he... hehehe!" Joe giggles erratically for seemingly no reason and begins to walk towards the chasm of light.

Go to the chasm of light with Wilson, see if Fitzgerald wants to go with the Brother or Ed if they aren't going with me. If they are going with me, then keep the Fitz with us.

"I think I'll go to the city as well.  You don't get too many chances to recharge laptops in unfathomable alien dimensions, after all.  I'm Eddie, and you are, Brother?"

Start hobbling towards the city.  Discern any details possible about the people and buildings as Eddie gets closer.

Crawl back to the plane, as there doesn't seem to be anything useful here.

Back into the plane you go. While you feel your way around you find that the murdered have collapsed over and is not breathing.

Fitzgerald jumps on you, placing its paws against your chest and licks your face while furiosly wagging its tail. "You got it backwards, my loyal servant Sir Joe, I'm not coming with you, you are coming with me. Let us go!"
"That ain't my home."

It doesn't take you long to get into the chasm despite of rather steep path. This chasm is ten meters tall and a meter wide. Floor is asphalt again, but with deep foot tracks coming from deeper within and covered with plenty of glass shards. You can't see any of Wilson's kin here, or any obvious light source either. Light mysteriously shines from nowhere and everywhere just like in the previous tunnel, but is much brighter.

Chasm is perfectly straight its whole length, which you estimate to be around 100 meters. In half way point is a young child sitting on a soft chair. He has orange hair, dark shirt, green shorts and red shoes. He is shouting for help.

"Ahhh! Where am I!?  HELP!!!"

Stay on the seat, while clutching my knees.  Yell for help.  Resist urge to cry.

[6] Tears are gone like they never were there. You are a big man. And a big man doesn't cry!

Just a few moments after starting yelling for help a fairly muscular adult man enters from darkness ahead. He's smiling, you think, and holding a glowing rock. Big brown dog follows him in.

"Ultimate frisbee is the Lord's sport, my man. Imma go see what's what!"

Head toward the city block. Maybe they've got antivenin there.

Maybe. The cities usually have hospitals, but that isn't a whole city, just a one block.

((Crud, forgot my guy's name...))

Eddie helps Brother down the hill to nice flat ground where he can hobble on his own. Having only light of of Eddie's laptop it takes some time to get closer.

The people appear to be same ethnicity, same basic colouring and facial structure. Usually black hair and tanned complexion. Men seem to sport moustaches or beards, while women usually have long hair. They have western clothes, with women most commonly wearing brightly colored skirt. As you get closer you guess they are indians. From their behaviour you guess they are worried and/or confused. You hear the ones running around yelling names and wildly looking around. The runners are almost exclusively women.

The buildings are in poor condition now that you see them closer. Three and four story buildings are unmarked.

A nearby group of people notice your approach and turn towards you. They have many emotions on their faces, worried, scared, angry, curious...
