Here on Water Hazard, a strange duo enter the arena. "Uncle" Dorian, the whip-wielding Jumping-spider man, faces down the diminutive-but-deadly Cerol Trollbane, the knife-wielding Crundle!

Dorian has been using his impressive array of limbs to great effect in this tournament, crushing his Minotaur opponent under his 35,000 Urist carapaced heel. But will his whip-shield-whip-shield-whip-shield combo pull through?

Cerol, at a diminutive 10,000 Urists of weight, has proven a merciless gladiator, downing his opponent in the first round and killing him in a horrifying and prolonged stabfest. But will this corpse-looting Troll-slayer best his arachnid opponent?

Cerol went absolutely wild this match, sending Dorian's many, many hands and arms flying around the arena as if they were twigs! Dorian got a few shots off in return, and his spiderish lack of a pain sense served him well to continue fighting, but eventually the blood loss from so many severed limbs got to him. The tiny, behorned Cerol Trollbane wins the match!

Ah, the smell of roasted gladiators and molten bronze. Smells like Heat Stroke! The kickboxing Platypus man, Tortox the Sly faces off against the chitinous lasher, Princess Klackon-ktsss-ktsss!

Tortox the Sly beat his last opponent down with a flurry of kicks, crushing them under his webbed feet (and probably dancing on the remains), will this 36,000 Urist monotreme, clad in the finest helm that money can possibly buy, be able to withstand the Princesses barrage and lay her out with his deadly kicks?

Klackon, weighing in at a sturdy 50,000 Urists, has her four whips primed and ready to spank. Will she crush the duck-billed fighter, for the glory of her nest(and as good practice for proactive rise through the ranks of succession)? Or will she succumb to his poisoned barbs and deadly flipperslaps?

A- ahh... Oh. Oh boy. Well, ladies, gentledwarves, neuters, and whatever other denomination might strike your fancy, that was a rather disappointingly short match. After a single whiffed strike by Tortox, two strikes from Klackon with her copper whips chipped his hand, and then turned his brain to so much platypus stew. Despite the incredible grade of Tortoxes armour, the second blow breezed through it like a sword through paper. Maybe these whips ought to have some further regulations enforced, but what do I know, I just commentate. Klackon wins, while Tortox is slowly being grilled on the hot rock of the arena and should be ready to eat in 30-45 minutes, or until golden brown.

Well, we sent out the Arena's cleaning crew (an ettin with a bucket) and the mess that was Tortox has been cleaned up! Try not to slip on the roast platypus juices, it's time for Monty the Dark Gnome versus Zavier Saintcloud, the Minotaur wrestler!

Monty won his first round with a very simple tactic: Bash them over the head with his oversized scourge until they die. Will this 15,000 Urist drinkguzzling flayer give us a repeat performance, or will he be torn to pieces by his opponents armoured fists?

Zavier Saintcloud, a seasoned and well-armoured wrestler, is already used to the heat of this arena! Last fight he cooked himself up a quick lunch of Serpent-man, but will this behooved behemoth do the same to his diminutive opponent?

The battle started all according to plan, but one false step from Zavier sent the bull falling straight into the central lava pits! The smoke and smell of roasting beef filled the arena, whilst Monty gleefully bashed him over the head to keep him down, as befits his modus operandi. Eventually, and after some mouth-watering smells, the mighty bull succumbed to having his body converted to what is basically Minotaur soup. Monty wins the round, and the janitor-ettin gets more lunch.

Here we are, back in Klassic, for a standoff between two returning gladiators! The ambitious human, Shotgun Gai with his iron two-handed sword, facing off against the kobold Varick, a veteran decapitatee with a whip of platinium.

Gai won his first round in peerless style, hacking his trollish foe to pieces without taking a hit. Will he pull the same trick off against his new, and notably smaller foe?

Varick brained his foe in the previous round, spreading his deeply traumatised brains over half of the arena. But will this flighty veteran see his fortunes hold true, or will he lose his head once more in the arena?

After a vicious opening barrage, a gentle tap from Varick sends their opponent into a murderous rage! Unluckily for Gai, the next attack inflicts an agonizing bone chip to his arm, and he goes down in pain. The next horrifyingly long section of combat consists largely of Varick tenderising each and every one of Gai's internal organs, until a stray bruising of the heart wakes the sleeping beast! Unfortunately, without his trademark sword, Gai can't stand up to Varicks whippery, and is promptly disposed of with an array of cracked bones, until eventually his brain is ripped to shreds, much the same as Varicks last foe. Varick wins!

And with that, we've finished the second qualifiers! Onward, to the Quarter Finals, gladiators! Onwards, to glory!
