But then it's as if the character is already starting with a weapon, and the rest can be dumped into skills. A human with less points pretty much needs to purchase a blade as well as skills
But it doesn't scale and is rendered less effective if your opponent builds armor. Plus it uses unarmed skills so if you wanted to wield weapons you'd be splitting your points. Something the human doesn't need to do for his steel/copper weapon which works far better against armored foes. Compared to choosing to use whips it may even be less of a consideration. And that human with a sword has a good chance at one shot-ing you if he hits.

Elimination II Match I
Thud the Mad VS. Thurr the Animal

Spoiler: Gladiators (click to show/hide)

Ahh, what a way to kick off the second elimination round better than to have a great match in klassic territory?

Our dear insane gladiator, Thud the Mad, truly lives up to his name with his reckless manner and glorious bloodshed, before the match we got an interview with the madman, who had this to say, "Mice, mice are nice. But hyena is nice dead." Apparently he is not only mad, but also dumb. However, his blade will surely meet flesh tonight.

His rival, another one of our more unstable gladiators, Thurr, a hyena man from a den of villainy and deceit. In fact, I have a striking feeling that this crazy bugger sold Snamozaspna into slavery with the goblins to begin with. An evil slave driver, can Thud hope to thud this hyena?

Spoiler: Battle Log (click to show/hide)

Aha, yes! I love a vicious decapitation, and here our good victor delights in the thud of a hyena head smashing upon the arena wall!

There is something really classy about ending a fight with decapitation.

Elimination II Match II
Rovod the Red VS. Cadedi Icoricera

Spoiler: Gladiators (click to show/hide)

A classic match up here, elf versus dwarf upon a grand bridge over an endless pit!

Rovod the Red hails from the dwarven mountainhomes of something or other. It is unknown if the dwarf's name comes from his glorious red beard or his vicious speardwarfship as he bleeds his target dry. In any case, he is out for elf blood tonight, can he defeat;

Miss Icoricera, the lovely elven mistress who also happens to have been a veteran during many elvish conquests. With her mighty pike of iron in hand, clad in copper, there's no way a puny little dwarf can overtake her. Let's see how this classic match plays out!

Spoiler: Battle Gif (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Battle Log (click to show/hide)

Cadedi was simply too nimble, too graceful for her blunt opponent to land a telling blow upon her. Even in such heavy armor she remains quick, this'll be one tough elf to beat!

Elimination II Match III
Flakshed the Main-Man VS. King Tuticane

Spoiler: Gladiators (click to show/hide)

Peaceful meadows, such a perfect scenery to disrupt and leave viscera all over the place.

If there would be three words to describe Flakshed they'd be boastful, brash, and obnoxious. Or maybe beligerant if we wanted to stick with the three b's. This guy has slain countless other eagle men in attempts to be the only one left in the world, so that he of course can be the main-man. Moral quandaries aside, that platinum morningstar is amazing for bashing brains.

His opponent is quite the opposite, such a regal bearing. King Tuticane may be one of the most noble under critters I've ever met. 'Cept for the good lady Klackon of course. Any who, this kingly serpent has fangs and venom aplenty, this should be easy for the totally unfair snake man's advantage.

Spoiler: Battle Log (click to show/hide)

Ohh, as expected. Our eagle man lost hope rather quick as the paralytic poison crept through his system. Leaving the king with but only a bruised heart.

I've been rather busy, so these might be the only three I'll get out tonight.

Did I forget to upgrade Thud for this fight or did his gladiator listing just not get changed?

Not that it made much difference, but didn't Cadedi upgrade to a steel pike?

Honestly, now I'm not sure.

Ooopsie, forgive me. I seem to over look a ton.

The suspense!

Also learned today that: "... though stings from a bark scorpion man will also rely on the kicking skill"
So that was an oversight maybe
