Harvey gestures to the guards.

"Hey you, you said several Arks were discovered? How many?"

-Le Snipedysnip-
"I went off, and I came back. And dident I tell you that the chances of finding a brand new, in box, sealed [INSERT CAR PART HERE] was too good to be true?"

"Ah, which book? Oh, right, that one. Yah, I did. Rather good chapter on pre-war beekeeping."

Gar, hearing about the discovery of a number of arks, turns to face the guards.

"Really, more than one at once? Sounds like fun. Wonder what books they have... Hey, Harvey, what do you think of us going to check out one of them together? Who knows, they might have a working vehicle in it."

Akio groans, rubbing at his temples. He has an utterly horrid headache. Only getting worse by the minute. Who woulda thought that being frozen for centuries would dehydrate you so much?

Akio investigates the locker with the green light.

((I shall assume Akio has no knowledge of his shapeshifting yet.))

((Also can you give me a scale of what he could do? I would like to know how Eldritch I should make the eventual accidental first shift.))

((at a 7, he should be capable of some pretty major changes to his anatomy))

The locker contains Ark clothing (standard white with light blue trim), and a bottle of viscous fluid labelled 'Drink Immediately'.

Harvey gestures to the guards.

"Hey you, you said several Arks were discovered? How many?"

"Not sure. Go ask someone else, we're on duty here."

"Err, excuse us."

Harvey goes out of ear reach of the guards with Gar.

"Unfortunately, I would hardly be surprised if the Hierarchy has a claim on any and everything good inside the Arks, so if we're to check one of them out, just the two of us to look for anything good, which I am in completely in favor of, it wouldn't be quite legal, so we probably shouldn't talk about it in front of those two."

"And while at the very best one of these Arks would probably only have a forklift, I'm confident I could find some half decent tools to extract parts myself."

((0.5 turns in and already discussing crime, I'm so proud.))

Akio drinks the bottle. Presumably it's electrolytes. The headache is still there though, and still growing.

Akio then searches the room, trying to see if his personal affects are still here. Bag and personal clothes and whatnot.

"I dont see why they would just have a forklift. I mean, wherent they built so that people could survive and thrive whenever they where woken back up? I mean, it stands to reason they would need vehicles, unless they contained livestock, or robots, or something. Ever try farming without something pulling the plow? Its not fun."

"Plus, they probally would have some manufacturing capabilities. Infact, that seems more likely to me."

"Good point about the legality, but they did say that there is work being offered to go check them out. But... nah. what say you we jsut get some equipment and head over there ourselves?"

If his memory serves, personal effects were kept in the main storage areas of the structures, one level above his. There is an elevator towards the back of the room.

"Well, any vehicles they have probably won't be what I'm looking for."

"It does seem more likely to have a factory, might not work but it'd be there."

"I'm pretty sure that said work means to find anything good and be paid for finding it, rather then being able to keep the thing yourself."

"Checking one ourselves does seem like a good idea, I currently don't really have anything to sell or trade to get any more gear then I currently have, and unless you're willing to sell those books to someone else who really likes them, neither do you, still, unless it's really nasty we should be alright, the Arks are designed to get radiation out so we shouldn't need to worry about that, and I'm pretty sure no beasties would easily get in there."

"Not precisely sure how we should go about finding one though, wandering aimlessly around the mountains doesn't seem like a good idea."

Time to examine the corpses. Why are they desiccated and not skeletal? It's probably been centuries. Also any visible cause of death?

"You have enough food? It may take a month or two. As to finding out where they are? Simple. Sit in a bar for a bit and hear the rumors. Also, how do you know what I have in my bag?"

"It hasn't been that long since we last met, if you still spend as much time reading and buying even more books as I remember, I doubt you'd have much to sell."

"Unfortunately my supplies aren't particularly high, enough to last me half a week, maybe."

[Medicine check failed] He has no idea why they are still fleshy, but at least he knows they are dead. The glass is broken, though.

"This is why I want a truck."

"We should probably get in the city proper and then figure something out."

Kaitlyn Rivers is taking another drink from her Cantina, she is in a typical cowgirl clothing. Cowboy hat  sunglasses, jeans and a checkered black and red shirt.
She is approaching the gate from the badlands as well. "Well ain't this piss hole lovely?" she mutters to herself.

A shorter and lighter girl, one dressed in tribal clothes-a modest loincloth, and a faded white haltertop with a golden arch symbol on it-her skin decorated in blue woad tattoos, appears at Kaitlyn's side. She seems uneasy at the immensity of the wall in front of them...but, keeps a hand on one of her scrapwire spears for comfort. She also seems to stick close to the other woman, seemingly comforted by her company.

"Piss-holes are not lovely, Katlyn of the River." She states, with an inflected tribal patois. "If I had to take a piss, I'd go elsewhere than this place." It's hard to ever tell if Kat's being sarcastic or not.

((This is assuming we want to skip the whole team meeting thing and just get on with it. Idea being we already met and can relegate the encounter to a later noodle incident. :P If this doesn't mesh with you, I'll change my post.))
