The Roman Republic recalls that the Canadian State annexed several regions that had declared as part of the Republic after the fall of the Banner of the West. In their interests, we would be willing to seek Peace if #58 and #59 are allowed to join the Republic as they desired.

If the Canadians see fit to agree, the remnants of the Banner of the West are also offered the olive branch of Peace.

On an unrelated note, the Research Treaty offered by the Ottoman Empire is happily Accepted.

Ottoman Empire also would like to offer Trade Treaty to Karelian Coalition in hopes of seeing Scandinavian goods on Ottoman markets.

Reborn Khanate would like to mediate between the Karelian Coalition and Belgian Empire to form Trade and Research Treaties together. They would never suggest the Belgian Empire stop trading with it's friends and allies the Canadian State or Roman Republic, however.

The Belgian Empire is looking for possibilities of changing one of its trade treaty for a research treaty. If the Reborn Khanate increase its research infrastructure in the next months, we will look into accepting its offer.

The Canadian State disputes this, as Roman force of arms rather coerced these regions; calling the choice free is farcical at best.

The offer of peace at current conditions is repeated.

The Alliance of Associated Islands would suggest that a compromise be reached: while the Roman Republic did take its pieces of the Bannerlands by force, so did the Canadian State, and their claims are hardly more valid than that of the Romans, and vice versa.

Perhaps the Romans could be given one of the two provinces and one would stay with the Canadians, providing an essentially equal partition of the contested Bannerlands. As the AAI is situated between the two warring countries and has some level of relationship with both (very prosperous Research with the Canadians and a full complement of treaties with the Romans), it has a vested interest in not seeing the war progress beyond new lands and into heartlands.

In an unrelated matter, the AAI essentially is industrially saturated, and has absolutely no use for its trade treaty with the Banner, especially since its reduction to a city-state. It will relinquish that treaty. Instead, it seeks to further its progress into academic pursuits, an arrangement most any country could well benefit from. The AAI has a research treaty essentially up for grabs.

The Roman Republic would be willing to accept the deal proposed by our mutual friend, The Alliance of Associated Islands. If the Canadian State is willing to choose which region is to go to which power, the Republic would be very happy.

We are looking toward replacing our trade deal with the Ottoman Empire for a research deal. We also keep open our offer of Peace for the Banner of the West and our offer of trading Ireland for Britanny with the Canadian State.

Ottoman Empire would like to ask the Associated Islands Alliance about an Alliance treaty, or just a Research pact.

The Belgian Empire of course do not want to antagonize the Ottoman Empire. We simply feel that we need scientific cooperation more than trade at this point.

We would also like to enter in an alliance with the Ottoman Empire.
