Server seems to have crashed on me.
I'm out in the open and very vulnerable. :S
So, what other server should we try to invest in while the current one is down?

edit: Looks like the server had a 30 minute rollback.
Lost an entire level to that. :p

After following the FPS optimization tips I've been able to find I've managed to actually start wandering around, mostly picking berries and collecting rocks near the central south beach while trying to find some wood.

Tell more about that. Maybe I can even play this if I get it optimized enough (graphics card is a GT640, I can't into upgrades).

heh, hey what time are you guys generally on? I have my new graphics card on order and am thinking of trying this out when it gets here. Having a clan to do stuff with sounds like a good idea...

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I raided the cave. Killed lots of stuff, gained two levels, found some loot. Finally left when I got deep enough that I started to take cold damage without a torch equipped.

Expanded the barracks to include a forge, with help from Cian.

Tamed some Dilo's, and Cian brought us a Raptor. They've already saved my life more than once from aggressive dino's who wandered into our camp.

Got back on for a couple minutes.

Really underwhelmed by the metal you can get from the caves. Got more in the river than I did from the cave.

In other news, the equipment fairy may or may not have replaced the equipment of the people sleeping in the house.

Folly linked some good optimization advice  in the main Ark thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/playark/comments/38xor0/my_graphic_settings_for_decent_graphic_and_good/

I've looked for more, but it's all just repeating that.

I've done everything except muck about with shadows and I can get enough FPS to play, but I am going to try messing with shadows to try and make things better.

I can only assume one of you did it since I went to bed inside the house, but can you NOT take EVERYTHING off my unconscious body? Kind of irritating losing my hat skin because someone couldn't be arsed making their own clothes, and taking all my tools, my bow, my 68 arrows and everything.

EDIT: You're not getting the reclaimed clothes back. Fell through a hole in the map and drowned in the bottomless sea underneath, annoyingly.

Strange.. Someone had put leather armor into my inventory when I woke up.
I was wondering where that came from. No bows or such however.
I'll return the armor to you when I log on.

edit: It's in the front storage now, However I seem to be missing the chestpiece for some reason.

GO, yesterday I found your unconscious body on the ground outside the house...I think you may have fallen off the bed and out the door, leaving you exposed to every pickpocket who passed by.
I'm currently working on building individual bedrooms so we can ensure this won't happen again. Needs a lot of wood though. A few metal axes would help.

Also, our dinosaurs roamed a fair distance from our camp overnight and I had to drag them back, so I'm really thinking we need a fence.

Ultimuh - I put the armor on you as a gift. I made it myself. Also gave you a metal pick.

Greatorder - I think your body had fell out of the house or something. I never saw you unconscious inside.

I also repaired Folly's metal axe and gave him a pike.

Another pike is in the forge for whoever wants it.

Well, Greatorder can have what's left of my armor any way. It's in the storage in front of the building.

I can make you a new set of hide armor, the snakes in the cave are amazing for hide gathering. Easy to kill and lots of hide. The pike slightly outranges their attack, so walking backwards as they advance takes them out while they can't hit you.

greatorder, at some point in the day I saw you logging in twice, then logging out, you didnt answer me so I figured you had technical difficulties, and since you logged out outside, I dragged you in. So that's how you ended up inside.
