I've been playing r855, and I've run into a bug with the white house. Killing the first president goes fine, and his VP becomes president, at least on the liberal screen. The problem arises when you go to the white house after the first election. If the original president doesn't win and is replaced, the white house does not get updated. The old president remains there, and, if you kill him, the new administration is replaced entirely by the old one's VP and staff. Even if the original president is killed before the election and the VP becomes president, the old one remains in the white house.
