4maskwolf.

Okay, so. I received a one-shot redirect yesterday. I didn't know how many actions I could do at night, so I submitted these two actions in the following order.

1. Redirect 4maskwolf to Tiruin.
2. Track IronyOwl

It felt like 4maskwolf was going to target me during the night, and I personally I wouldn't /want/ to burn my revive. Assuming the worst case scenario of a kill, I decided to redirect them to Tiruin. I usually distrust Tiruin so if there was a kill action I would be okay with it.

I tracked IronyOwl to make sure no funny business was going on with our confirmed townie.

You can only use one night-action per night, so Webadict only resolved one.

When today started I assumed that Webadict must have taken my latest action, because 4maskwolf claims to have killed me. However, it was my redirect that cleared, not the tracker. Webadict confirmed this to me via PM.

This means I have no results for what IronyOwl did, but it does raise a contradiction.

Did 4maskwolf really kill me? If so, how?

A few things could have happened.

1. 4maskwolf has a penetrating kill that ignores redirects.
2. My redirect was unsuccessful.
3. 4maskwolf believes he killed me, but they actually killed Tiruin (who is somehow immune to night-kills), and somebody else successfully killed me.

You know what I believe? 4maskwolf implied he would be killing me the day before, because he believes I was Flabort's "convert target" and when I flipped town today he would either not reveal himself or go some sort of good town vig route. I'm not exactly trusting.

If 4maskwolf is really town, then I think it's second most likely that somebody blocked my redirect (and I am unaware of it). Seeing as how somebody stole my vote, it wouldn't be too surprising.

How do we explain this?
I see very little to explain your vote here, Toony.  Care to explain?

Also- why didn't you claim miller Day 1, especially given how terrible your auto makes investigating?
4mask replaced in for Dorsidwarf so he can't answer this.

4mask: Why didn't you mention the Miller thing when you replaced in?
Because it was night.  Twice.  And I didn't want to give anything away before I could check my theory about Toonyman.  Plus, given that I was swapped with someone else, I was going to claim it if/when they turned up mafia or with my roleclaim.

Cheeetar: It's an auto that I can change the target of you derp.  It's even active right now.  So no, I didn't target you, I simply told my auto to work on you.

Reading over D1:

My opinions on things?

Cheeetar: probably not scum, because I know him.  But... dropping an ability like that D1 doesn't incline me to think he's town either.

PPE: Hmmm... Interesting, Toony.  I'll take that into consideration.

Lenglon has a posting restriction that strikes me as... idk.  It doesn't seem like something Wuba would do.  I'm not sure, though, because if it is fake it's been damnably consistent...

Persus13: I don't have anything specifically to say, but we've already seen one inspection-immune scum, so inspections aren't fantastic here.

All in all, I just don't think enough happened D1...

This is 4mask's first post after Toony claims to have received a 'convincing result' on me that confirmed I was town. You'll note that 4mask is aware of Toony's claim. 4mask: What did you have to check about your theory? If you really are a miller and had swapped places with me, why were you so slow to claim in order to point out that Toony shouldn't have received a convincing result? You didn't question Toony at all during Day 3- why not?

Can we have a poke on Ironyowl, please? I was legitimately surprised when I realised they were still in the game.

Toony:
Tooney, are you planning on participating today?
Yes, although somebody stole my vote today.

I had a resurrect and was goading mafia to kill me by vague-claiming an inspect on Cheeetar yesterday. It looks like it probably worked. I did really use an ability that supports the claim that he's town.
I wanna doubt you but I've seen you do literally this thing before. Maybe not with the inspect bit.

Okay, so. I received a one-shot redirect yesterday.
What made you use the redirect before the track?

It felt like 4maskwolf was going to target me during the night
Why?

3. 4maskwolf believes he killed me, but they actually killed Tiruin (who is somehow immune to night-kills), and somebody else successfully killed me.

Good question. This situation seems odd. We can probably rule out #1 on account of 4mask not mentioning it. #2 and #3 are plausible but specific and hard to prove.

I'd be tempted to add #4: You made everything up to give yourself town cred, but then the soft-claim on Cheeetar and following obtuseness wouldn't have served any purpose. Other than Orgwalling, obviously.

You know what I believe? 4maskwolf implied he would be killing me the day before, because he believes I was Flabort's "convert target" and when I flipped town today he would either not reveal himself or go some sort of good town vig route. I'm not exactly trusting.

How does your belief explain anything? The issue is that your actions don't line up to his, from which you get that he's scum who was going to murder the target he suspected loudly and strongly enough that you knew he was going to action you that night, then not fess up to it the next day?

Sounds to me like your version has him as a town vig killing his top suspect.

4mask:
I'm a miller who used to be able to switch places with other people as an auto.  I switched places with Cheeetar to prevent him from dying after he force-lynched OSG, who was scum, but apparently nobody tried to kill him... Anyway, what you actually found, Toony, was that I took no actions that night, because my only action was the one I used on you last night (the kill).

Unvote, I'd be more suspicious of you but I know what your role is now and you're telling the truth.
"Used to?"

Because it was night.  Twice.  And I didn't want to give anything away before I could check my theory about Toonyman.  Plus, given that I was swapped with someone else, I was going to claim it if/when they turned up mafia or with my roleclaim.
So... you weren't going to claim it until and unless you absolutely had to. Why not? What would claiming it have damaged regarding your investigation (ie murder) of ToonyMan?

Including that one, you have five posts total participating in the game, not quite two a day. That's some hardcore lurking.

He stated earlier that he thought I'd be the target of a nightkill so he targeted me to 'take the hit' for me. If he is scum, targeting somebody who is probably (?) confirmed town is also a great way to take the protect people place on them, any gifted abilities that night, etc.

I see very little to explain your vote here, Toony.  Care to explain?
I'm accusing you of mafiakilling me under false precinct of being a "town vig".

Okay, so. I received a one-shot redirect yesterday.
What made you use the redirect before the track?
The redirect would have disappeared if I hadn't used it. It was a one-shot for only one cycle. I always have the track.

It felt like 4maskwolf was going to target me during the night
Why?
Shakerag: Hmm... I'm kinda in the same boat as you: it just seems a little too stupid as cover for a nightkill.  I have a theory about ToonyMan, but I want to test that theory tonight, so I'm not going to say too much about it.

You know what I believe? 4maskwolf implied he would be killing me the day before, because he believes I was Flabort's "convert target" and when I flipped town today he would either not reveal himself or go some sort of good town vig route. I'm not exactly trusting.

Nah, what I'm saying is that I don't believe his cause. There was a game I was in prior where I was a vigilante and never claimed until the end. I was town. There were at least two fake vigilante claims in that game, they were scum. In other words, I'm inclined not to believe vig claims.

Gifted abilities I get, but stealing protects doesn't really make sense since it'd also result in redirecting any kills.

BYOR 14 is awaiting you, miss! Please post when able to verify your living status.
I AM ALIVE AND WELL (despite anomalous weather and a vulnerable health status prior to the writing of this post).

Shakerag: Please answer honestly--are you intentionally killing yourself, and is the specific power making you suicide a [KILL] action?

@People voting me [esp. Lenglon]: ....What does Toony have to do with me?
Also @Shakerag There's a totally legit reason I was away for a week :) ...And 'lurking' is not a feasible answer.
Like srsly :I

Toony
[snip-and-stuff]

Err, honest question, as a player. Is...the distrust thing something like my meta? Is it because of my past personality? I wouldn't like that playing into anyone's view of me here. :<
[Though it would be reasonable if it was because of a Mafia-bound personality in the past]
