Space Gods

So, I spent a good portion of this year making a sort of 2D fighting game (I along with a good-sized team, of course!) and now it's pretty much feature-complete, so I figured I'd share it.

You and up to 3 other people play as gods flying around a solar system, battling each other by grabbing planets out of their orbits and hurling them at each other. As in dodgeball, you can evade, block with a planet you're holding, or catch-and-return. There is 2D physics, and each god has a special ability.

Download

There are still some things that need work. Namely, full keyboard/mouse support, the art and sound, and some balancing/bugfixing, but other than that, it's ready to play.

I'll take a look later on tonight. Sounds kind of fun in a Tekken Ball kind of way.

Do you have a website?

I'm a bit iffy on random mediafire downloads. Any screenshots? YouTubes? Anything?

I'll get those if I can. We've got a somewhat outdated trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiXNDyqgZBM

I could also provide a dropbox link if that would make you feel better.

We don't yet have a website. This is an extracurricular uni project, but we might try growing it.

Looks like a fun little timewaster. I'm assuming basic twin-stick shooter controls.

I noticed there wasn't huge curvature of thrown planets due to the sun's gravity. Is it possible to change gravity/mass of it? And size?

Are multiple suns on the battlefield doable? And if you do expand it, maybe comets and asteroid fields? Just basic "hazard" objects. Maybe even the occasional UFO shooting lazers at the closest god. Maybe a few types. Up to and including bullet hell levels of obstacles.

Anyway, I'll give it a go against my sister tonight. Is it gamepad only? Mouse/keyboard? Just checking on local MP input options.

I think there are problems with mouse/keyboard at the moment, you should use gamepad if you can.

Damn, I'll need another gamepad then. I'll give you my thoughts on it if I borrow a mate's on the weekend.

What language/environment did you make it in anyway?
