Jeff draws from the last of the birds that followed him, casting Diabolic Edict. A lawmage makes the motions of casting a spell and, as he lets lose the counter bolt, a red elemental blast from Varkahl strikes the counter bolt, exploding it before it can strike the black vapor that flies towards a different lawmage. He begins to choke before dying, causing the Detainment Sphere trapping [Turn order, 1d4: 4] Mira, who drops to the ground hissing.

The Second Azorius Arrester attacks Ligeia, [5 vs 12] messing up his attack. Legeia counter attacks [4 v 2] dealing 2 damage to him slaying him.

It is now Legeia's turn. She draws Deathgaze Cockatrice.

Faking a sweet smile, she adds, "It is Pain."

Afterwards, she surrounds herself with with two snakes, one Pharika's Chosen for 1 Black Mana, and an Ambush Viper for 2 Green Mana.

Black magic weaves between Ligeia's fingers as she lets fly a vapor towards the Azorious Arrester.  No one reacts quick enough, watching him choke and die. Ligeia feels a feeling of life wash over her. Ligeia brings forth two snakes.

It is now Varkahl's turn. He draws Firebolt and adds it to his memory.

The three remaining Lawmages join the fight, they seem to be preparing spells.

Markus sticks his hands in his pockets, not apparently bothered to do much of anything, considering he hadn't been targeted or even responded to.

Varkahl was a little lost; from his viewpoint, he had been trying to apply a magic effect to a set of armor in his workshop before there was an explosion and then an overwhelming new feeling. It was strange, like he felt more alive than he had ever had, and also powerful - brimming with immediate power and future potential. It was like his mind's eye had been closed and it had suddenly opened, drawing a surge of power into him.

Common sense said he should escape the situation while he could, avoid getting in a beef with armed soldiers and an organization that could probably give him trouble later, but they had begun hostilities for no apparent reason and he wouldn't be abandoning the rest of the people who had popped out of thin air with him; running away from a fight in such a scenario would be in bad taste.

"Couldn't you people just have tried being reasonable? Or at least avoid being complete asshats? You just had to act like idiots." the smith groaned as his metallic wings kept him in the air, power coursing through him as he stretched his mind's reach beyond what he formerly could, and summoned nymphs of the forge much to his own surprise. That was then followed by experimentally empowering himself in a shower of sparks and crimson arcane energy, eliciting a wide smile from him as every hair on his body stood on its end.

Varkahl draws upon his spark, refilling his mana. He casts Forgeborn Oreads, Who upon touching the ground, send a shower of sparks at New Prahv Guildmage 2, hitting him for 1 damage.

Varkahl then draws upon the mana in his mantle, and weaves mana about himself, enchanting himself with Knowledge. His Forgeborn oreads sends out a second shower of sparks, hitting New Prahv Guildmage 2 again.

Mira draws upon her full amount of mana, passing her cap and adding 4 colorless mana. She uses 2RG to summon a Bloodbraid Elf. She touches the ground as mana begins to swirl, causing a cascade! Mira casts Terrifing Presense thanks to the Cascade, Making herself the only person able to deal any combat damage this turn!

Mira uses 2GW to Cast Captured Sunlight, gaining her 4 life. The spell causes a Second Cascade! Mira casts Rith's charm thanks to the Cascade, creating 3 Saprolings.

It is now Demise's Turn. She draws Typhoid rats.

Markus, having had his fill of watching, proceeds to turn around and very casually start just sauntering away from the whole scene, moving at an unhurried and unbothered pace, taking in the sights and sounds of the strange city-plane.
"Where IS it I have found myself anyway? Is this some extra-elaborate delusion? Ha! I wouldn't mind if it was! This is all very fascinating."
