Rare Sentences
« on: June 01, 2015, 05:19:10 pm »

So, this is a rather simple game.
Each player tries to come up with a phrase that no one has ever uttered before, they then type said sentence or phrase into Google and post how many hits that phrase got.

Oh, make sure to put a + after your phrase, it narrows the results significantly.

I'll start us off with "Thermonuclear Nipple Ring" with 55000 results

Question: Does it have to be the exact phrase, or just that combination of words? Because if you put the quotation marks around the words, you search for that exact combination.

Google is currently giving me a single result. Where is that result you ask? My post. I used quotes.

Ah, then we should use the quotation marks method then, as that reduced my initial post to 1 result other then my own post.

"Scientists gathered yesterday to discuss climate change" - no results when using quotation marks. Same for politicians.

I'm thinking there's a flaw in that methodology here.

"my racist grandma exploded" yielded no results with quotes.

Without them the first result is well

"An orgasm almost killed me! ... my exploded brain had exposed my body to a tidal wave of murderous bacteria. ... 10 ways white people are more racist than they realize."

If you can use a two word phrase that only produces a single result, that's a Googlewhack.
