Problem with tree farms
« on: May 31, 2015, 06:17:50 pm »

Hi!

Sorry to post this here. Idk where it should be posted instead of here. I tried to find some help searching through the forum, I jumped to Reddit, I aboarded many of the IRC channels, and nothing. So...

My problem is actually with the farms and the saplings, in MDF 6.2 (34.11 - r4).
I found that firstly with the kobolds. I made a normal farm and planted the acorns. Everything went well. The kobolds harvested them in time, and I got saplings. And here starts the problem:
I cannot see (nor find) a way to plant the saplings. I cannot find a workshop that would give me acorns again to plant them.

I never had a problem with the dwarves and the spore-tree farms before (ripe time -> harvest -> sawmill -> saplings -> to the farms -> full cycle again), but trying a new embark, I found the same happening with the fungi-trees. Switched to the spore trees and everything went fine, but I still have fungi saplings and I cannot find a way to plant them.

Can someone help me or guide me? I tried every other resource before coming here.

EDIT: Tryed to make another farm with the dwarves, and got able to plant the fungi again. It didnt worked with the koblods anyway :L

That's because kobolds are too stupid to farm them. I think they only have a wood-processor workshop for wood stalks, but not for proper tree-farming. It's silly that they even have access to the seeds.
