No, you can *definitely* find them in concealment. I killed the Berserker Queen in an Ambush.

Funny enough, the one that got the kill was the soldier I let my brother make, and he'd had the thing end his last run, so it was sorta trans-dimensional revenge.

Like most things the difficulty largely depends on how cheesy you want to get. I suspect that a sizable chunk of the playerbase who called them easy waited to do the initial mission until they had mid-to-late gear, cheesed them with DoTs, or savescummed to set up an overwatch trap. If you just run the mission as soon as you're reasonably confident you won't fail it and let them come as they may, chances are they're going to give you a rough time.

Yeah. I initially did both DLC missions as soon as they showed up because I didn't realize that you could wait. So it was ballistics and kevlar all the way, with fairly low level troops. Very, very difficult and I lost soldiers both times.

The rulers were similarly difficult, although I managed. They're much, much easier with more tech. If nothing else, the ability to hammer them hard enough to make them run away makes higher tech approaches a lot easier, even if you aren't focusing on disabling techniques. Overwatch traps with Ballistics are considerably less effective.

I would definitely not want to touch the rulers without the silly freezing abilities or psionic with statis. They're just not made to play with the turn economy any other way.

You don't need either. Fire and acid, that's all it takes.

Honestly the special grenades are way easier to do them with than all the CC monkeying about. Almost like nobody thought about how those mechanics would interact before the DLC launched.

All the more example of a specific key for a specific problem rather than something to puzzle out from the circumstances. It doesn't help either that those effects tend to have more predictable outcomes.

XCOM 2 is on sale for 60% off at $23.99. Also on sale for varying percentages off are other 2k games. The sale lasts until the 20th this month.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Is it worth buying X-COM 2 at standard retail price or should I wait for another sale?

Depends on how much you enjoyed X-COM, I suppose. I put over 500 hours in X-COM and have 250 hours so far in X-COM 2, so no regrets on my side.

There are rumors of a coming expansion; I wouldn't be too surprised if there was a sale around the announcement.

Just a pro tip, when it comes to 2k, don't ever, ever, ever buy their season pass. It's not worth it.

I mean, it usually is never worth it, but with 2k especially it's never worth it. You usually only save like $1.29.

That's not really great advice, umiman.

Get the season pass if you think it's worth it for the game.
As for the actual game, I'd say it's easily worth it at full price but sales for it aren't exactly rare.

Seconded. Super not worth it. I'd also never bother getting this at full price (although I bought it at neaaaarrlly full price stupidly) - it's not that it's a bad game, but it's on sale a lot and it's not so amazing you need to play it TODAY.

I almost never buy games full price.

But there are two exceptions that just bend me over and fuck me until all my money comes out.

Total War and XCOM.

That's why I'm still salty over buying the deluxe pack for XCOM 2. Strangely enough I'm not salty over Total War though, even though the DLC program in that shit is insane. Guess I am a true slut.
