I dunno 6 is pretty broken the way game mechanics work. Enemy reinforcements inbound, 6 people already waiting to gangbang them. With all the overwatch going off they don't get to take 2 steps.

The game is hardest when you have 4 rookies, no upgrades, they're unskilled, and they have to kill a 9+ hp sectoid when they can't hit the side of a building while being mindcontrolled and killing each other off.

Honestly after you get over that hump it gets quite a bit easier.

Yeah sure on easy or normal sectoids are a pushover, but on Commander+Legendary they're a royal bitch early game. just have all 4 rookies spam a grenade just to get that terror out of the way guaranteed.

I mean, remember when being mindcontrolled used to be a mid-late game problem? Yeah.

Eh, perhaps. But 8 is a fun squad size; its not straightup crushing like having an entire Oldcom team at once would be, but you still want to hang onto everyone since it'll make a big hole in your roster if they die. I'm not here for maknig it harder, I wanted to make it more fun. (and give me just a little bit more chance to not lose the whole team by having space for a second specialist)

2) I'm really disappointed the common troopers are not humans, I've always thought the easiest way to conquer Earth would be to corrupt the elite and make them work for aliens.

No I am with you it seems like a freeken HUGE cop-out of any moral quandaries you might have.

Ahaha, already got my first 100% hit mission.

Sectoids are evil bastards or trash depending on whether you got the drop on them, and on what they choose to do. One nasty trick is for a Sectoid to panic a trooper, the game lets the ADVENT troopers overwatch, and then your guy runs away.

Only had some delay loading in the Geoscape after researching comms.

Ironman and the tutorial are mutually exclusive right now.

But they aren't though. They're humans. Granted they don't look it, at least by the face and the blood-But they're still very much human. And if you have any moral quandries, perhaps the game where you're playing as what is essentially a terrorist organization isn't for you :P

Why would the fact that they humans, cause any doubts or quandries ?? They serve someone who enslaved entire human race = they deserve to die.
I dont see anyone breaking in tears over shooting Waffen-SS/regular SS in WW2 fps games just because they are human.

Yep. Two issues with having moral quandaries: this is only a little bit worse then killing EXALT units, who are just a little closer to human on the apparent "human/non-human" axis. Two: You are in fact terrorists, so presumably you are already past the point of giving a shit about such ethical dilemmas as "letting the mooks live".

Plus, why would it be a cop-out when ADVENT entire modus operandi seems to be "GENE MOD ALL THE THINGS!"? Like, what, they wouldn't do some low-level modding on the grunts while making busy making sectoids OP and everything else? Hell at least they are still *technically* human, instead of being sectoidesques? I mean it seems like a solid strategy for them, they aren't exactly saying "lets make them non-human for the lols", it's very consistent with what they seem to have done in literally every other case.

...Somehow I did not even think of the fact that they're pretty much the reason humanity has stayed enslaved. Huh. Yeah, that's another reason why it's cool to blow 'em away.

Nice outfits/armor, though.

Neonivek will always find a complaint about a game.  If the game were perfect he would reorganize his definitions so "perfect" means "bad."

What if ADVENT troopers are actually ordinary humans and the entirety of XCOM is so deep in denial they just see them as these abominations unto humankind?
