Hiding your soldiers on overwatch just one tile outside the edge of the advent/alien sight range, so that on the aliens turn they'll step into the range where they can see your soldiers and scatter while overwatch activates and the turn ends, effectively giving you free shots and an extra turn.

BTW anyone have $600 lying around? :V

Except that they never hit and waste all the ammo, also it requires you be pathologically neurotic like Beagle.

In NewCOM 1 it has a significant aim penalty, though that's largely offset by the targets having no cover yet.  And by a feat or two.

Gotta agree about the neurotic bit though, it sounds super gamy and tedious.  Something I'd do if I was losing.  Frankly I don't think XCOM, old or new, is any fun on hard or with ideal tactics.

In XCOM2 overwatch from concealment has no aim penalty.
And I love Beagle, but it is slightly annoying to watch him play in a weird way for a slight advantage. I'm glad it's being fixed.

It hits a fair bit of the time, yes.

Yeah, I don't wanna play Whoever Moves First Loses or inch everyone forward one tile at a time in a deathball.

I just realized that XCOM 2 is rated T, while XCOM 1 was M.

I wanna say that's odd, but I'm not really sure why XCOM was M in the first place. Maybe they just lightened up a bit or something.

I don't think so, the skulljack is already more brutal than anything in EU.

Aye.  I suspect it's just because the ratings board felt a bit differently; ESRB ratings do tend to be a bit subjective.  For instance, XCOM 1 got dinged for Swearing where XCOM 2 goes without a single mention, and XCOM 1 has a stronger mention on visceral violence ("Blood and Gore") compared to XCOM 2 ("Blood").  For notice: one and two.
