Keybindings aside yup, racing games in general are wonky with a keyboard. They really benefit from analogue input. For most people that's a gamepad, unless you own a steering wheel.

Let's take Sonic Racing Transformed for example.

Lets not. Lets pretend it doesn't exist and set aflame anyone or thing that challenges that belief.

Right? Aiming is so much better with a wrigglestick.
I cant aim for shit with one.
That's what aim assist is for. :D
No kidding.

I remember testing how bad the aim assist was back when I played Halo 3. If an enemy player walked past your cursor, they dragged it a solid inch or two across the screen when you weren't touching anything. It's why I never took the super-cirrus people... seriously, considering that they were getting all hot and bothered over heavily aim-assisted shots. This is exactly why PC shooter players occupy both the highest and lowest slots in regard to accuracy: if you're shit at aiming for yourself, PC games generally don't give you aim-assist. If you're not shit at aiming, mouse&keyboard allows for a greater degree of precision and much faster reactions.

I seriously think I can't play fps games on console without an xbaux controller, I'm terrible attempting to even walk and shoot in fallout 4 but can bunnyhop like a pro in halo.
It's probably since I've been playing rts, squad tactics games, or sims on PC for decades but all my fps stuff has been on console since goldeneye.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Sonic Racing isn't really the bad sonic game...

For that you want Sonic Free Riders

The
Implying there's only one. As far as I'm concerned, everything after...I'd say maybe Sonic 3? And Sonic Generations, has been hot trash.

To be fair, Sonic 06 made for some decent LP material.
And in one part, with beautiful music and aesthetics, and no checkpoint for like an hour, it made a beautiful little moment... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvPU99Yr4oI&feature=youtu.be&t=500

There's also the Beautiful Little Moment which is probably even better

er... language warning heh

Edit:  And of course the TF2-animated version of that is absolutely the best

TBH in this case it's a Kart Racer that is virtually impossible to play without a pad, racing wheel or not.

Let's take Sonic Racing Transformed for example.

Lets not. Lets pretend it doesn't exist and set aflame anyone or thing that challenges that belief.
Wrong game m8
And even then free riders did have some good ideas and would probably be a half decent game if it was free of kinnect bullshit (and actually reliably controllable instead).

The
Implying there's only one. As far as I'm concerned, everything after...I'd say maybe Sonic 3? And Sonic Generations, has been hot trash.
Eh. There were some decent Sonic games poping up from time to time. All-Stars Racing Transformed just happens to be one of objectively good ones among the trash.

Anyway... the post i made about sanik was more about the controls rather than the game itself.
Long story short. If you want to play some purely console games without a pad then you are going to have a bad time.

Can we be done talking about sanik now?
At least till someone makes a mod replacing Xcom with sonic characters and Advent with Eggman/Robotnik robots?

Posting this here since it's been asked about the sub a few places and I thought it best to give a single place for people to look at for XCOM 2 modding.

What we are getting, is a full Toolkit.

Visual Studio Isolated Shell (Glue app as it was put) This will help you build mods and mod projects.
The unreal editor that was used in the development of XCOM 2, aka the same editor that was used to build the game.
    Script Source Code
50GB of Assets from animations, to textures, to models, to ground clutter, et all

As jake said, "You have the same game we had. You have the tools we had, the editor we used, the assets we used."

This, is nearly unprecedented in my opinion. This is almost more than what Bethesda gives for their games. So in short, moding for XCOM 2 will be skyrim level and maybe even more.

Aww yiss!

This sound really good, I'm really hoping for a Starship Trooper mod. The movie, not the book.

Why? You don't want to see a house full of Ayys and just level it with a single glance? Or see fifty chryssalids, go "Not worth the ammo", and just bunch their faces in?
